Elemental Hero School

"It's massive" Daniel whispered taking in a huge gulp of air. As they got nearer, Daniel could see why the school was easy to miss. Up close, it looked like a run down abandoned building. It looked as if it has been unused for years. The lower bricks were crumbled and covered with vines and moss. They walked towards the enerance. Daniel felt a little uneasy as they saw guards walking towards them.

Time:(9:00am)

"Is he the one?" one of them asked with a smile. 'He seems nice enough' thought Daniel to himself. "Yes" replied Igor. The other guard looked stern and grumpy. He looks as if he always has that face plastered on. Daniel and Igor walked through the enterance. Daniel followed Igor through the different rooms. They were huge, nothing like the boy has ever seen before. In every corridor, paintings of past heroes(Daniel assumed) were put across the wall. Armour stands with different symbols and pictures on people holding different weapons from the past.

Daniel was mesmerized by the school. He instantly knew this was no ordinary place. "Let's take you to the headmasters office, Daniel" Igor said. "She wants to meet you" Daniel didn't know how to react. He was about to meet the leader of a school the whole of Britain probably didn't know about.

They walked up the stairs. Suddenly, he felt a slow wind rush past him blowing him aside. Igor seemed to be oblivious to it. He looked around, confused. He saw an old man on a walking stick. Igor could see Daniel staring at the old man slowly walking through the door. After a few seconds of silence, Igor said: "That's Kirsk, he's our Assistant Headmaster here at the school" Daniel turned around and looked at Igor, "But how did he..." There was a slight grin on Igor's face as he climbed up the stairs. "Daniel, Kirsk is the elemental hero of Speed..."

Daniel stared at him like he was joking. But he knew he wasn't.

They walked down into the main hall(that's what Igor called it.) Daniel never imagined a room could be so big. 'It should've been called the Grand Hall' Daniel thought to himself. The walls were a radiating white with pictures of previous people of importance(Daniel assumed.) The floor was made up of lines of light brown wood and mosaics made up of many colours dotted around the hall. Huge chandeliers hung from the ceiling. When Daniel said something, it echoed across the room. And in the centre was a table, with a build-in microphone. Thousands of chairs were stacked neatly across the side.

Everything about the place seemed strange. He had never seen anything like this. He suddenly had another fear. "If we are heroes, that doesn't mean there are bad people too?" asked Daniel. The smile of Igor's face faded, "Yes, there are things in life that make people go mad." That's all he said. He hurried up the stairs into the headmaster's office, with Daniel just behind him.

"Hello Daniel, I'm Mrs Katrina." the lady said. She was sitting in an office chair sipping away at a coffee when Daniel arrived. "I'm the headmaster of the Elemental Hero School." Daniel immediately took a liking to the woman. She has a warm smile and didn't seem too strict like his headmaster at his previous school. "Nice to meet you" Daniel replied with a smile. "It seems Igor has explained a few things about what we do here."

"And I know you may be a little surprised by this, but you don't need to worry." She looked at Igor. My job is to make sure each and every hero is trained and equipped with everything they need to become an elemental hero. Many students can stay up to 7 years to train and you can leave any time you like"

"Igor will show you around the school and then you can go and meet your classmates. Do you have any questions?" she asked. "No" Daniel replied. "It's strange" Mrs Katina said, "Eight other students were found at exactly the same time yesterday." She eyed Igor like he did something wrong. And with that, Igor and Daniel left the room. Igor was about the show Daniel around the school when they heard a shout from across the room. "The Gorstone is prophecising once again" a middle aged man cried. The next few moments were a blur. Daniel saw Mrs Katina running out of her office and everybody followed her.

They reached a door at the end of the top floor. Suddenly, a bright green light shone from the room...
