"Yoooh that was crazy," JJ exclaimed with excitement directly jumping up from his throne. "Like I forgot to listen to the lyrics but that was money, and you said something about tones," He continued with a bright smile rambling about different things trying to find an outlet for his excitement.

"Cheers JJ, I appreciate the love," Rakim responded with a smile completely taken over by the latter excited mood. This is the first person other than Leaon to go crazy after hearing him rap. Even he was more excited about hearing Rex's parts instead of mine.

The two of them continued to talk with JJ mainly using sound effects as he re-counted the freestyle. It seems that Rakim's freestyle left quite an impression on him and he wasn't shy about letting him know. Luckily the two of them clicked as they bantered back and forth.

"For all of you without a musical bone, that right there was money in the bank, cha-chink I tell ya," Kelvin calmly stated into his mike reminding the two of them that they were still live on national radio. It worked as JJ calmed down and started interacting with the show again.

"Y'kow what spotlight I'm giving him my 2017 crown," He suddenly said directly jumping up from his chair as he picked up a crown on a cousin behind him. His words completely stunned Kelvin not expecting his partner to suddenly bestow his crown.

Ever since they rebranded the spotlight with the Throne series five years ago they had special words for guests that impressed them. One of the awards was their crowns, which they could both give out each year. Both hosts could only hand out one of them each year making them extremely precious. That is because it symbolises that they bet on their guest having an incredible rise in their career within the next year.

A perfect example is last year when Kelvin gave his crown to KDot who went on to drop a bomb of an album this year. He practically ballooned onto the mainstream scene forcing everyone to take notice. The fact that One of the hosts managed to predict his rise earned the show quite the hype and now JJ placed his crown on a 17-year-old Kid.

"That was one of the craziest interviews you made me do," Rakim stated as he slumped onto one of the back seats in the sprinter van. From the look on his face, you could easily tell just how tired he was. He didn't even bother strapping in his seat as the car started moving.

Chloe, who took a seat across from him lightly chuckled at his antics that mirrored his age for once. Throughout most of the interviews she had him do he always remained composed to the point she almost forgot he was a teenager. "I promise that was the last one for a while, I'll focus on boosting your social media presence and booking you some gigs," She responded directly handing him her tablet that outlined her plans for him in the near future.

"My first show huh?" Rakim absentmindedly muttered as he read a circled date for his first date. On the 1st of November at the Echoplex, I would debut First Day Out on an actual stage. That leaves him a little more than a week to get ready to perform. The thought of having to face a packed venue unsettled him a little as he tried his best to remain calm.

"I was quite surprised when X's manager contacted me about having you open for him," Chole stated still not believing that her first artist in the music scene was having such an easy time entering the game. After all, X is probably the biggest Rap artist in the new generation sporting the biggest cult following.

Heck, the guy survived a career-ending beef with Jake the biggest rapper on the planet. So I was surprised when I heard he wanted to debut him when he came to town next month on his US tour. Although she's not sure how well his fans will receive Rakim gaining some of their supporters would go a long way.

"Never mind Dat, Big Max spin by Taco Bell I'm starving," Rakim suddenly said as sat up on his chair and started searching the car for snacks. His search came up empty since Chloe didn't bother stalking the car up with food since she didn't plan for the day to go this long.

"No no little homie you don't want that, If you want tacos I'll get you some tacos," the driver at the front of the van excitedly responded directly turning his steering wheel and performing a U-turn. "This better be good cuz I'm starving," Rakim responded as he eagerly chugged down a bottle of water.

hearing his words Max responded in confidence bragging about knowing the best Mexican food spots. The two of them continued to banter it each other as Rakim got to know the older man better. Although they had only met this morning they instantly clicked with each other.

Since Max had been driving him throughout LA since 5 in the morning they got to know each other well. Chloe could only stick with him for his first interview at Spotlight leaving Max to accompany him for the rest. They only met up for his last event, a photoshoot for headshots which Chloe needed of him.

According to her, it makes things easier when negotiating brand deals with companies. Part of her current plan involves taking him down the modelling route to fully utilise his good looks. This is largely due to the fact they decided to hold off dropping an EP and instead chose to wait for a full album.

"You still want to release your first album on January 16?" Chloe interrupted the two who were arguing over the best chicken and chips spot in LA.

"I'm fine with that, been working on some songs I should have 16 good ones for the drop," Rakim responded with a smile recounting just how much time he spends working on his music. If he isn't forced to attend school and dragged somewhere by Zoe he is working on music.

If not for the fact that Ella makes sure he maintains a healthy lifestyle he'd be a mess. After all, both Rex and he get lost in their own world whenever they work on music.

"When are you gonna let me hear more of your music," His agent asked with anticipation since she hadn't heard any more after their first meeting. She was not nervous that his songs would be bad fully trusting his talent.

"I'll send you 5 songs I for sure want my freshman album, I've got ten more but they are maybes for now," Rakim responded directly pulling out a laptop from his backpack where he kept some of the songs. Both Rex and Ella stressed the need to keep his songs on different hard copies just in case he ever gets hacked or leaked.

"Speaking of your album, one of my friends just signed a young producer and asked me to link you up with him," Chloe suddenly said causing Rakim's movements to pause as he looked up from his mack book.

Just as the air in the car started getting a little tense his next words broke the tension. "Cool that will make my life a lot easier since I probably need to re-arrange most of my songs, I'm not the best with the technical side," he responded in a nonchalant tone after having seemingly made peace with the fact he couldn't work on his album alone. He didn't dwell on the matter much longer as he went back to fiddling with his laptop loading five songs onto a USB.

Seeing the lack of pushback that she had been expecting Chloeh could only sigh. She didn't question it though since it's a good thing that he is one of those artists who have a compulsive need to do everything by themselves. "(sigh) I'll set up a meeting then," she told him directly pulling out her phone to text to give her colleague the green light.

The guy had been pestering her to let his client work with Rakim ever since he found out she signed him. However, she could also tell that he was bitter about the fact she got to Rakim before he had the chance. For an agent primarily focused on the music scene her beating him to a new talent hurt his pride.
