Abadon's fury
Just as Yone opened his mouth to ask about the purpose of the orbs, the old man lightly tapped his cane on the ground.
In an instant, Yone felt his voice cut off, unable to utter another word. His body stiffened, frozen in place, and he couldn't move a muscle.
Before he could process what was happening, the old man's voice echoed in his ears.
"Don't panic, this is merely for your protection, these orbs detect any subtle change of movement and sound in the area and attack accordingly," He paused for a second, looked at the tall steles and statues around them, and then continued with a sigh.
"You see, you should have been tested a few times more before getting to this stage, but since you were a hundred times more courageous than those seven kids back then, the rules of this zone state that you get to skip all other tests and immediately take your reward."
