Wudao Continent

I dashed to the library as soon as I became a free man... I mean, free baby. I thank the heavens that this location isn't too far from my room.

I observed Yang Hui dozing with a book in his hand as I passed by his room.

So, I guess he's a weirdo after all!

After a few seconds of crawling, I arrived at my destination. The library was enormous; it appeared that the entire library could hold half of the home. I was fortunate that some books were on the floor because with their assistance, I was able to reach the third row of books.

Well, I guess, this baby body could be of use from time to time like this kinds of situations!

I began my quest for any informational literature or, at the very least, an encyclopaedia to help me understand the world on a surface level.

My search was brief; after a few minutes, I came across a book titled "Wudao Dalu" - the continent of martial ability and the place where I currently reside.

As a result, my thirst for knowledge will be satisfied.

For several days, I scoured the internet for any material that would be valuable to me. I discovered what I was seeking for and more.

It was quite fortunate because the language in this world is nearly comparable to my previous one. The only difference is that the letters have a more 'decorative' appearance.

First and foremost, the continent on which I was given a second chance at life was known as the Wudao Continent. It was largely occupied by Humans and Spirit Beasts.

This continent was home to two great empires, which may alternatively be referred to as coalitions. Because a considerable area of territory was conferred on feudal vassals inside the two empires, and the number of nobles with armed men could not be counted.

The Spirit Dao Empire was one of these two empires, while the Heaven Ling Empire was the other.

Unlike my previous world, this one is ruled by Empires, which means that the right to rule a country is rightful to the throne, through a genealogical tree.

I've noticed that this world is evolving at a far slower rate than mine. The most likely answer is...Martial Power!

This world is Martial, which means that the majority of the development that humanity has made to get to where they are now, even in this age of fantasy, has been aided by the Spirit Power to take a shortcut and advance farther and further in the future.

I guess, at this time of era on my previous world, there would be cave men, who scratched around two rocks to start a fire, hehe!

In my old world we, of course, didn't have anything like that. The only possible way of expanding your physical abilities was exercise, even though I trained cultivation in my Qi for the normal martial arts. This world has the concept of "Spirit Power", Spirit Power is the force that exists around us. No natural occurrence is happening without it, the only thing I can compare it to is gravity and other fundamental forces, but even the gravity in this world is the work of Spirit Power of the world and atmosphere which is termed as the Life Energy.

According to this book, And there is another something special in this world, Some have the power of lightning, some could control plants, some could tunnel into the earth, some could use the chill of frost, and some were capable of communicating with Spirit beasts. People with these abilities would all become Practitioners, and their abilities were known as Martial Spirits.

Martial Spirits were almost universally possessed by birth, and only a select individuals might obtain spirit Power by chance. Ordinary people may train hard to get Spirit Power, but even though they possessed Martial Spirits, there was no way to obtain Spirit Power through training.

Martial Spirits were separated into two basic categories: Elemental spirits and Physical spirits. Different forms of Martial Spirits combine to generate Physical Martial Spirits and Elemental Martial Spirits.

They were all formed for Physical Spirit and represented various forms of physical upgrades. Such as Agility Martial Spirits or Strengthening Martial Spirits, which can increase and strengthen your body during combat. There are even Physical Spirits that may manifest Beast's Strength, weapons and armors with the user's spirit power.

Elemental Spirits, on the other hand, instead of receiving physical benefits, were able to govern elemental energy such as fire, water, earth, and so on. They have the power to manifest not weapons, but a Host Spirit. The Host spirit can be anything, even a blade of grass is a simple example. And they have more elemental control over their attributes as their cultivation develops further.

However, just because Physical martial Spirit users obtain Physical bonuses doesn't imply their manifested weapons can't use any characteristics. Instead, the weapon's attribute power or elemental energy would be significantly less than that of an Elemental Spirits Practitioner. But, they can become powerful as their cultivation develops further too.

Spirit Power is so potent that it can enhance a Practitioner's training by dramatically enhancing their combat potential and bestowing them with unique powers...

According to what I've just read, Lady Yang was a "Elemental Spirit user" because the Water manipulation she used to heal Gina was a demonstration of it.

And it appears that being a practitioner is the most honorable profession on the entire continent.

Many literature contain many hypotheses on awakenings; most believe that everyone's Martial Spirit can be awakened at the age of six, but nothing says that those much younger than that have not awakened.

I guess no one has ever tried to awaken through cultivating their meridians, which is highly important for cultivation, according to the legends of my previous life's martial arts teacher.

Well, there weren't any manipulation of natural elements, but there were Monks who meditated and cultivated their Qi, even in an extreme cold.

I wonder, What happens when I try to cultivate staring at this age? Will I awaken sooner?
