Chapter 11: Umbrella

"Alright time to get out of here." Isaac said as he finished his food as the freezing rain faded to a constant mist. He thought about going home and while his brain gave him tons of reasons to go, his gut told him otherwise and he tended to agree with it. He fastened on his mask, which was partially off so he could munch on his food and properly enjoy his drink before he went to the side of the building and walked all to the roof. Once he was there he walked to the edge where he heard the honks and rambling nonsense of the many pedestrians. Isaac climbed up on the ledge.

"Ahh, I don't really want to hide for six hours in my room." He debated. He looked around, he looked at the dark green park until his eyesight sharpened looking at the clear picture of the kidnapping happening in broad daylight. Two burly men in tracksuits looked like they were up to no good just being there. It didn't help that Isaac watched as their head spun on a swivel, trying to see if anyone could see them as they took a kid who couldn't have been older than 10 and covered his face with a dark cloth.

'No, stop' Isaac let himself lean forwards before he jumped off of the building that he was previously sitting on and once he was low enough, he aimed both of his wrists.

The shot web latched on the next building and he pulled himself forward to accelerate himself, he felt the wind come with utter wetness that made him feel nasty but he ignored it for the sake of the grave situation unfolding kilometers away from him. He saw that a van had peeled right up to the curb. Isaac bit his lip before the accident that happened earlier today was aggravated flashed his mind,

'Why the hell am I thinking about that' He shook his head trying to ignore it. He shot another web to swing but then leap off, limberly flipping to dodge a banner that hung as an obstacle but the kidnappers already had the kid in the car. What was worse was that they had noticed that Isaac was right behind him, and hastened their retreat. Isaac shot another pair of web to the lamp posts that lined the sidewalks. Pulling himself forward as fast as he could. Soon the van came up to view but as he shot the web towards the vehicle it peeled off, scratching the road and leaving burnt tire marks that smelt terrible.

"Fuck!" He said but he didn't loose hope as he landed awkward and rolled. He just took it as an impromptu landing before running as fast he could and at first he caught up with the car but his momentum was soon stopped when he saw that a girl walking her dog with headphones on. Worse thing was, she had not the slightest clue that she was about to get hit.

"Lady!! Move outa the fucking way!!" His sound was drowned out by the fact that he pumped his legs faster as the car sped up even more, the lady started to see what was happening in the moment she was about to get hit by a bulldozing van while a man dressed in a black and red suit quickly started surpassing the cars and continued to speed up, trying to reached her. She froze solely paying attention to him. Isaac launched his webs to the bus going the opposite direction, using his strength, he pulled himself from the ground and into the air and onto the side of the bus. He aimed his wrist towards the girl with the dog.

*Thwip*

Isaac pulled the lady, who dropped his dropped the leash from the sudden pull. Isaac saw the leash's descent, slowly dropping to the ground while the now quivering dog that surely saw the end of it's life closed it's eyes in it's demise, Isaac shot another web that extended it's usual bullet shape to a hand shaped that latched it's grip right below the nape of the dog and caught him. Isaac, jumping off of the bus pulled the dog up and shot another line which the closest lamp post caught nicely. Isaac, shot another web a further lamp post to swing them both to the sidewalk.

He landed with a flip, and let the lady go who dropped to the ground.

"Here, pay attention to surroundings, you have a dog to look after. Treat it to some Beef Jerky for me." Isaac waved as the lady just looked gobsmacked. He backpedaled, before turning and propelling himself forward by a moving vehicle which was going the in the same direction of the vehicle he was chasing.

'C'mon Isaac, You got this.' He shot two webs at the foremost corner of van as Isaac backed up as the vehicle crawled forward and pulled the webs, wrapping them around his wrist. He kept pulling until he started sliding so he was forced to stick himself to the top of the van.

"Lets go." Isaac let his feet slip. Bulleting him forward, he shot through the air, combo'd those actions with webs from random object that were in front of him. Swinging, he slowly caught up to the van. Until he was right behind them. Isaac watched two scared individuals hide from him.

'No you don't' Isaac gritted his teeth pulling himself forward with a causal web fling that landed him on the kidnappers vehicle. He crawled forward to the window's driver seat and he flipped to the side of the vehicle. He knocked on the window waving at the the people who were in the front.

"Attention Kidnappers, along this ride to jail, we ask that you atone for you're mistakes as you put the children you've stolen back, ya' weirdos." He announced. The driver looked at him dumbfounded before a glare made it's way forward.

"No?" Isaac asked. The guy shook his head. Isaac sighed.

"It's always the bald ones that give me the most bite." He yelled absurdly loud, The bald driver had a facial expression that screamed I hate you as he swerved to a bus. Isaac's spider-sense kicked up, causing him to smash his other foot to the other side. He was forced to let go of both vehicles as he heard sirens traveling from the parallels of the other streets.
