Marvel: Starting With The Compound V

So there I was, a 17-year-old boy, criticizing a novel where the protagonist had a "Holy Mother" complex while writing a review: "@Ritzerthebest: The system given to the protagonist should be called 'The Holy Virgin System.' Damn, the author must have a serious brain problem thinking the protagonist would maximize its potential with that trap." After pressing the send key, the last thing I remember was grabbing a Marvel comic to read before passing out. When I opened my eyes, I wished I’d had time to reflect on why I was in a prison cell before being brutally attacked by what seemed to be... guards? Pinned down against the cold, rough floor while they beat and stomped on me, I could only curl up like a damn worm, protecting my vital points. Inside, pain wracked my body, fear surged through me, but above all, I felt rage—a burning desire to kill the bastards who dared to hurt me. A minute passed, feeling like hours, until they stopped. I heard the cell door slam shut. Barely conscious, I heard a faint "Ding! Initializing..."—a sound that would change my destiny forever. //Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction that draws heavily from Marvel's source material. Corrupt Abilities?

[Name: Lisa]

[General Power] > [12 Stars ☆]

[Abilities]: [Demonic Voice I (0/100)] (Active Ability) (New!)

[Description:

-Your voice is infused with overwhelming chaotic energy, capable of infiltrating the minds of those who hear you to twist their will and force them to obey your commands. The longer they remain under your control, the greater the mental damage inflicted on the target, as chaotic energy gradually consumes their stability and consciousness.

-This ability can be resisted by those with strong willpower or psychic energy. Weaker individuals will suffer accelerated deterioration, falling into an irreversible state of mental fracture if controlled for too long.

-With more refined control over this ability, it will evolve, acquiring new characteristics.]

After the first surprise I had with Max, I already expected something like this, but damn, her ability evolved into something completely different. And why the hell do her ability and Max's have something to do with chaotic energy? Even mine depends on the same energy. If it was just a hypothesis before, now I'm even more convinced that it has to do with the fragments I used to create those Compound V syringes. Could it be that the fragments, inclined towards negativity, corrupted their abilities to the point of creating something entirely different? No matter how I look at it, it must be so.

I wonder if the corruption affects their original personalities. Could the same thing have happened to me without me realizing it? Maybe so, but it doesn't matter. After all, these are good news. Only a personality like that can survive in a world where the strongest fist prevails. Even if it completely changed their abilities, they only became stronger.

Although they lost some versatility, they've finally taken a path to focus on. Lisa was the least promising in terms of combat, and this ability suits her like a glove. It proves that investing in them wasn't a bad idea. They just need to get used to their powers. In the meantime, let's see "Leo's" ability. (I said in my mind as I used [Identify]).

[Name: Leo]

[General Power > [22 ~ 44 Stars ☆️]

[Abilities] > [Predator Incarnation I (0/100)] (Active Ability) (New!)

[Description:

-The host designates a target (or multiple targets) to kill, reinforcing your body with chaotic energy that doubles your overall attributes while imbuing your attacks to deal double damage.

-You absorb the vitality of those you kill, recovering your stamina/health.

-You enter a state of semi-invisibility until the target(s) are destroyed.

-When reinforced with chaotic energy, you rapidly lose stamina.

-After eliminating a certain number of targets (equal to or stronger than the host), this ability will evolve, acquiring new characteristics.]

After checking Leo's status, I just accepted it without further thought. Saying anything now would only depress me more. My awakened ability seems like the one they give for logging in to any game. But knowing they are my subordinates and stronger only benefits me.

This guy will be my greatest weapon for mass killings, so I'm excited to see them in action. I'm thinking about heading straight to New York. What could bring me more benefits than a bustling place like that? While we might have slight trouble with something like the army, the X-Men would be the ones to show up quickly to protect the mutants' already tarnished reputation in society.

I'm a bit scared of Professor X; he could control us, and it'd be game over for me. I'd need to give us resistance against mental control… (I said in my mind while using [Identify] on Goliath).

[Name: Goliat]

[General Power > [35 ≈ ??? Estrellas ☆️ ]

[Abilities] > [Demonic Overload I (0/100)] (Active Transformation Ability) (New!)

[Description:

-You unleash a demonic transformation that turns you into a humanoid demon. Your body becomes covered in dark energy plates, significantly increasing your defenses. Your claws extend, and a chaotic aura radiates around you.

-While transformed, every attack you receive strengthens your power, gradually increasing your strength and defense. Additionally, each strike you land heals you slightly, allowing you to stay in combat longer.

-As you fight in this form, your sanity weakens. The longer you remain transformed, the more you lose control of your actions, becoming unpredictable and attacking indiscriminately, unable to distinguish between allies and enemies.

-Lost sanity is restored once the transformation ends due to lack of stamina or by choice.-When you fully maintain your sanity while transformed, this ability will evolve, acquiring new characteristics.]

Since we can all fulfill a balanced role, I think it's time...Alright, with everything ready, why not let them get used to their abilities in battle? New York, here we come. But first, we'll stop by a clothing store; we look like beggars (I said in my mind while looking at my big killing machines with a sly smile).

I know perfectly well that you think the abilities are broken, but the Marvel characters are even more so. Professor X, Sebastian Shaw, Magneto, Captain Marvel, and the list goes on. For the first time, the protagonist will make his appearance before the world. Look forward to it eagerly.
