Times Running out

I read you overwhelmingly positive responses yesterday and it was pretty fun to do so.

It did clear some frustration I've been feeling with the story though it's still clear that the story is going towards death if not already dead.

I can see the data though I'm not discouraged the story is still has barely anything done in it.

But the pace should already be picking up or does it still feel slow at points ?

"This just in, a new video has surfaced online, shaking the foundations of the global community. The video, posted on a YouTube channel called The Frontline, a channel with no prior uploads, carries a chilling message from none other than Homelander himself. "

" As the deadline of his ultimatum approaches, the world waits anxiously. Let's take a look at the message in its entirety."

[The video begins.]

The camera pans in on Homelander, standing against the night sky, the stars twinkling faintly behind him.

His cape billows gently, and his expression is one of disappointment and resolve.

With hands clasped behind his back, he speaks in a calm yet intense tone.

"Disappointing," Homelander begins, his voice resonating with a subtle but unmistakable hint of anger. "Disappointing that the U.S. government believes that moving their mutant experimentation facilities would somehow hide them from me. Did you really think I wouldn't notice? That I wouldn't find out?"

He scoffs softly, shaking his head, looking off into the distance for a moment as if weighing his next words.

"What's even more disappointing is the idea that asking to stop brutality on fellow humans isn't supported by this regime. It's not even an outrageous demand. It's basic humanity." His eyes glow faintly with barely-contained power as his voice grows more severe.

"But I suppose that's asking too much from people at the top — the ones so power-hungry, so obsessed with control, that they've lost any right to be called human at all."

Homelander's expression darkens, and for a moment, the raw intensity of his power is visible in his eyes. "The time is running out. I gave a simple ultimatum, and you've ignored it at every turn. So, now we're here. Midnight of the sixth day, and your clock is about to stop ticking in exactly 24 hours."

"Those who know that they are in the wrong , You can try running, you can try hiding tou can try killing yourself but i will find you and i promise I will end you no matter where you are ! In what form you are !"

The screen abruptly cuts to black. A simple, chilling message flashes: Time's Running Out.

[The video ends.]

The news anchor, visibly unsettled, resumes speaking. "That video was posted earlier tonight, and as we close in on the final day of Homelander's ultimatum, the global tension is at an all-time high. "

"The channel, The Frontline, appears to be newly created, with no history or previous content before tonight's upload."

"It is currently unclear who is behind the channel, but this video has already garnered millions of views within hours."

In the spacious villa nestled within Washington, the soft ambiance of the room contrasted starkly with the intense conversation happening at the large marble table.

Homelander sat at the head of the table, a calm yet imposing figure.

To his left was a rejuvenated, youthful Magneto, no longer the frail elder but a man brimming with raw power and vitality.

Ashley was seated in her hero suit, looking composed, while Laura, in her sleek, special armor, was leaning back in her chair, her eyes glinting with impatience.

Noir, ever silent and clad in his dark attire, sat nearby, listening intently.

Homelander clasped his hands together, leaning forward slightly as they began the discussion. "Alright, now that we've gotten Magneto back to full strength, it's time to move forward," he began.

His voice was steady, confident, as though the entire plan was already etched in his mind. "Our target remains the same: the government facilities conducting mutant experiments. The Brotherhood will be administered Compound V—doses normally wihout any process."

Magneto raised an eyebrow, his fingers tapping lightly against the table. "What will that do? You made me young again, but what about them?" His voice was sharper, more questioning.

Homelander's smile was sharp. "You evolved because of it, Erik. They won't. Not unless they have the potential for it. Simple administration will amplify their abilities, make them stronger and solidify their abilities ?, yes, but only to a point. You were special—are special. They... may not be."

Magneto leaned back in his chair, absorbing the explanation.

There was a faint spark of satisfaction in his eyes, realizing that his position among mutants was still exceptional.

"Now, back to the task at hand," Homelander said, shifting the topic with ease. "I'll deal with the Senate and the Pentagon. No need to involve anyone else there. That's a matter I can settle personally."

Ashley, ever focused, nodded. "So, you'll handle the political dipshits, and the Brotherhood will focus on taking out the facilities? What about the other government forces? The military?"

Laura, who had been quiet, cracked her knuckles. "They won't be a problem,"

Homelander gave her a sideways glance, grinning. "That's the spirit, Laura. But I'm not worried about the military. Most of them won't even know what hit them before we're finished."

Magneto's gaze was calculating, his mind likely spinning through the logistics. "And what about our next step after the facilities fall?"

"We take power and put it in puppet hands so that there aren't unnecessary questions till the world is ready "

Homelander said simply. "Mutants will be empowered, thanks to Compound V. The ones who show promise will become part of the larger vision. The rest? They'll serve their purpose. Our team will be at the frontline. We'll bring this nation to its knees, but we won't stop there. Global change is the real goal."

Noir, as usual, said nothing, but there was an almost imperceptible nod of agreement.

He was ready for whatever was required of him by hus creator, and that was enough.

Ashley broke the silence. "When do we begin?"

Homelander stood up, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. "We start tomorrow." He looked around the table, his gaze locking on each of them in turn.

"This world is broken, and we're the ones who are going to fix it. No more waiting."

The room filled with a charged silence. Everyone knew the stakes.

Everyone knew the world was about to change, and at the center of it all, stood Homelander.

"Tomorrow," he repeated, walking to the large window overlooking the vast expanse of the city.

"Tomorrow, the world begins to remember what real power looks like."
