V3 Chapter 12 - The Tiger's Teachings part 2

Heather Rand POV

After I saw Danny cross the bridge, I led the wolves in the opposite direction but they caught up to me soon.

I tried to fight back and delay them as much as possible, to give Danny time to escape, whenever they tried to bite me I would protect my torso and head as much as possible.

'I hope they don't chase after him when they're done with me.'

After nearly half an hour of relentless struggle I was down on the ground by a bite on my waist and in the next few minutes I felt my consciousness slip as I struggled to protect my head.

As my consciousness was slipping away I saw Danny(?) running towards me from a distance, I tried to open my mouth and warn him to get away but before I could speak my body gave out and I fell unconscious.

At some point in time, I felt my consciousness return but felt too weak to even open my eyes, all I could feel was an intense wave of heat in my body, it was like my blood was on fire.

I tried with all my strength to open my eyes and for a moment I succeeded, in my groggy state I saw the back of Danny(?) and he was dragging me somewhere but I was too drained to do anything.

'At least he is okay~'

That thought brought a sense of relief as my tension loosened and I once again fell out of consciousness.

It was a feeling of intense cold that awakened me, as I opened my eyes to look around I saw I wasn't wearing my overcoat, I touched my body and was surprised to find that I didn't feel any pain.

I got up and saw I was laying on a stretcher with my overcoat under me, but all the wounds on my body were magically gone, a cold wind chilled my body as I took the coat and quickly covered myself.

After I looked around I saw Danny(?) sitting near a hill(?) in the distance, I quickly got up, put on my boots and walked towards him.

As soon as I got close I saw the giant face of a tiger on the hill and then its eyes opened.

I opened my mouth to scream but I saw the giant Tiger make a gesture with his paw and I felt an extreme pressure on my body that caused the scream to die in my throat.

Then he gestured towards Danny(?) and a translucent blue dome covered him.

He turned to me and spoke

"Be quiet, woman!"

And I fell silent, then I looked at Danny(?) trapped in the blue dome and said

"I will do as you say, don't do anything to my son!"

"I just want you to be quiet and he's not your son."(Tiger)

When I heard that I took a closer look at the boy and realized he was right as the boy had black hair instead of blonde like Danny's.

He looked about Danny's age and I couldn't help but ask

"What are you going to do to him?"

"I am going to do nothing to him and I don't eat humans so I won't do anything to you too."(Tiger)

"Are you protecting him?" (Heather)

"You can say that, he is training, so don't disturb him."(Tiger)

He said as he gestured removing the blue dome.

"Can I ask you something?" (Heather)

He looked at me for a moment and said, "Go ahead."

"How did I get here? How did I survive the wolves? How did my injuries heal? Where-"(Heather)

"One at a time woman!" He shouted and I stopped realising my blunder.

"Sorry. I was a little tense seeing you."

"Fine, he brought you here, and he probably did something about your injuries too and judging by the state of his clothes he is the one who fought off the wolves too."(Tiger)

"You mean that boy fought the wolves, saved me, healed me and brought me here!?"(Heather)

'That can't be, how old is he!? Who is he!?'

"That's right."(Tiger)

"But he looks so young, probably as old as my son! Who is he?"

"You don't know him?" He asked clearly surprised

"Should I know him?" I couldn't help but question.

'His response makes it seem like I should know him but I can't seem to remember him.'

"He said you were his friend's mother and he saved you because he promised him."

I opened my eyes wide and looked at the boy, I don't recall any memory of meeting him ever and I don't think Danny has a friend like that, at least not among those he mentioned to me.

"If your questions are finished then stay quiet and if you have any more ask him when he wakes up!"

Seeing the disgruntled expression of the Tiger, I relented and stopped from asking any more questions.

I quietly went back to where I woke up, I looked at the stretcher and a few emergency supplies that were there and I realised that the one I saw before falling unconscious was this boy, not Danny like I thought.

I sat down and checked my body again while I waited for the boy to wake up so that I could understand the situation.

I watched as he sat there with closed eyes the wait lasted about an hour when some sparks of light started appearing around his body and soon he woke up.

Rudra POV - Two hours ago-

After I sat down and did as he asked, I closed my eyes in meditation and tried to forget about the concept of meridians.

It was hard at first but as more time passed the process started to become easier as more and more of my energy started leaving the meridian channel I created and started flowing unrestricted.

It seems because I didn't have my meridians for more than a day my body seemed to help my mind.

And after hours of concentrated effort, I felt it.
