Ch 46: Current Situation

{A-Note: The three sects (High Heaven Pavilion, Blood Battle Gang, Storm Manor) will be alternativly be called 'The three sects' or 'The three factions'}

It took them only four days to reach the periphery of the sect, unlike before when going to the island. This showed the improvement their whole group went through in the past few months.

When they reached near the sect, Yang feng thought, 'in the original when Yang kai came back to the pavilion, other sects had been staying in the high heaven pavilion for some time and were trying to find the ones who got the main inheritance from the inheritance cave.'

He continued, 'but at that time they had a hunch that Su Yan had gotten the inheritance so they went to pester her. But now that she was not in the sect, I wonder how the things went.'

His thoughts finished just as the group reached the front gate of the sect. When the group came near the gate, they saw two disciples standing guard with an elder sitting on a desk further behind.

The desciples looked as if they had not slept for some time, with shadow under their eyes. Which shouldn't be possible as they were cultivators and for them to be in this state, they would have to go through a great deal of pressure and weeks without any rest to look like that.

The elder though looked better than the two, still seemed a bit haggard. When the group came near the three, who in turn saw who it was that was approaching the sect.

But when the three saw them, it looked to Yang feng as the three had seen a ghost but after rechecking and confirming that they didn't see wrong, saw a look on their faces as if they had seen their savior.

'Could it be that the other sects have pressured the pavilion so much? It looks like I'll have to do some cleaning.' Yang feng thought darkly as he saw the three, one elder and two inner sect desciples, coming towards his group with excitement.

"Yang Feng!!, Su Yan!!, finally you two are back!." The elder exclaimed when he reached them. Yang Feng had not speculated entirely wrong about the situation of the sect.

After he had left, the sect elders had searched a lot but were not able to find them, it was until they found out from a desciple that saw them leaving with Treasurer Meng, did they calm down. For the next few days it was rather peaceful as the desciples were digesting their gains from the inheritance cave.

But the peace didn't last for long. A month after the enterance to the cave closed, many sects from Great Han Dynasty arrived to investigate the situation of the inheritance cave.

After investigating for a week, these sects were able to get the basic information about what had happened and what type of opportunities there were in the cave. Immediately, they used their large numbers and forced the three sects to provide them with accommodations.

Facing so many sects which included the first-tier sects, the three sects had to compromise. Within a day's time, these foreign sects settled down among the three factions.

For the next two days things were normal as these sects were just staying in the courtyards assigned to them. But the following day, these sects started to go around the sect and contacted many desciples.

When the elders and sect/gang masters of the the three forces got the wind of this, they had a foreboding that a storm was brewing, as they could all guess what the foreign sects must have discussed with these desciples.

And although they wanted to intervene, they were not able to as they knew that as soon as they decided to do so, these other sects would band together to suppress them or they might even eliminate them.

True to there feeling, a week later these sects started to openly offer benefits to the desciples of the three forces to join their own sects. These desciples particularly included the ones that had gained an opportunity such as a martial techniques or had advanced greatly inside the inheritance cave.

At first the desciples of the three forces refused, with a few directly agreeing to the offers of the other sects. But the number was pitifully low, which was a relief for the elders of the three forces.

This relief though, was also short lived. When the other sects saw the attitude of the desciples, they simply raised benefits a bit more. This lead to many deciples of the three forces to weaver and many started to agree to the offers they were provided.

This went on for two weeks, in this small timeframe nearly 30% of the desciples that had entered the inheritance cave had betrayed the three forces and joined the other sects.

It was through these desciples that these foreign sects were able to get their hand on a particular rumor. These forces learned in detail of what happened inside the inheritance cave, about the puppets, the rare herbs, the tier 5 monsters, the battles and about the various Opportunities.

When the desciples told the superiors of the sects about the last battle against the tier 5 beasts where Yang feng had intervened, they grew interested. That interest turned into shock as they got to know about the details of the battle.

After which these sects started to gather whatever information they could get on both Su Yan and Yang Feng. The more they found out the more shocked they were and all of the first-tier sects had a similar thought going through their minds, 'how could a small second-tier sect raise these monsterous individuals!?'

They then tried to find them and found out that the two had left the sect on an adventure. Their immediate departure after the closing of the inheritance cave coupled with the rumor that both Su Yan and Yang Feng had gotten the main inheritance of the cave, which a desciple of High Heaven Pavilion had leaked to get greater benefit, these forces became adament to win these two individual over to their factions.

So for the reminder of time, these sects stayed inside their provided settlements waiting for the two to return. This lead the elders of the sects to have a massive burden constantly placed on their shoulders.

Su Yan asked the elder in a serious, cold voice, "elder, what happened in the sects."

Hearing her words the excitement on the elders face vanished as he sighed. "It's like this....", as he continued to explain the current situation of the sect and the other two forces, all four had frowns on their faces as they processed the information.

"Treasure Meng, if things escalate too much, can you handle it?" Yang Feng asked Meng wu ya in a flat tone that for some unknown reason sent chill down the spine of the elder and the two desciples.

Meng wu ya studied his expressions and asked in a similar tone, "What are going to do?". Yang Feng just answered indifferently, "Me? Nothing. Just going to clean some thrash."

Yang Feng wasn't actually too worried and only asked Meng Wu Ya to handle stuff as a precious measure. With how strong he is right now, even those ancestors of the Eight Great Clan cannot take him on individually.

He then looked towards Xia ning cheng and said with a smile, "Senior Sister, we are going to Su Yan's grandfather's courtyard. Do you want to join us?"

After thinking for a second she refused but told him that she would look for him when she was free. The truth is that she was just shy and also wanted to give Su Yan and Yang Feng some time alone.

After bidding farewell to everyone gathered Yang Feng looked towards Su Yan and grabbed her hand, "shell we go now?" He said with a smile. Su Yan on the other hand just nodded as she was worried about her grandfather and brother and the two flew towards her grandfather's courtyard.

"Don't worry they will be alright. No matter what, those sects can't do anything to them." Hearing his consolation, she calmed down and finally smiled at him.

"I was just worried that they had been under too much pressure since they were related to me and how the first-tier sects have been pestering my grandfather." She said as they reached the courtyard.

After finding out that Su Yan was Elder Su's granddaughter the foreign sects had been keeping a close eye on him. The same went for Yang Kai, but his situation was much better because of a particular reason.

As they landed on the training field in the courtyard, they saw Elder Su and Su Mu coming out of their rooms in a hurry. When they saw them, the two rushed towards them.

"Big sis!, you came back!" Su Mu said excitedly when he reached them, while Elder Su first nodded at him as a form of greeting and then asked Su Yan about her health.

After confirming that she was okay, he said, "we should first sit down and have a talk about what happened in past few months with a cup of tea." He said the latter part while glancing at their still joined hands.

Su Yan blushed suddenly, realizing what her grandfather was talking about, but she didn't retract her hand. When they were all sitted. With Su Yan and Yang Feng sitting side by side, Grandfather Su started asking them a few questions about their time in the cave and their adventure.

He didn't ask about much, but just the basic information, which the two gladly shared. They didn't tell him about the specifics of the main inheritance of the cave, nor did he ask them. But when he asked about their relationship, the two responded simultaneously, "She's my wife/He's my husband."

Although he had already expected as such, it still shocked him a little when he heard it from them. While he was recovering from his shock, Su Mu made a joke that he thought that Su Yan would remain single for all her life which worried him.

This earned him a sound slap on his face that sent him flying outside the room by an indifferent looking Su Yan. Yang Feng could only sigh at this as Su Mu had brought this upon himself.

After the two Su family members were again sitting, with Su Mu holding his face that looked to be swollen from one side and Elder Su now calm. He had acknowledged their relationship saying to Su Yan that it was her life and he could only guide her when she needed it.

After a heartfelt hug with her grandfather, she told the two about her current cultivation level, and they were shocked to their cores. Due to their reunion, Elder Su forgot to check her cultivation and was immersed in their talk.

When he checked and confirmed her cultivation, he was at a loss. He himself was at the 4th stage immortal ascension and that only because of the pills that Yang feng had refined for him during the time he was taking pill refining request.

And now his granddaughter had just entered her early twenties had reached this level. But it wasn't a bad thing and he was happy that she was this strong now and had such a powerful partner.

After their talk finished, Yang Feng bid them farewell as he had a few things to do. Su Yan accompanied him to the gate of the courtyard, where Yang Feng kissed her deeply before flying away.

He then landed just outside his own courtyard inside the sect, which just as he expected seems to be occupied by two individuals, with two old men standing in front of the gate.

He first sighed and then started to walk towards the gate. The two old men saw him coming and frowned a bit, releasing their cultivation pressure on him. They were shocked to find that he was unaffected and continued to move forward, which made their expressions turn serious.

Before the two old man could do anything, the gate behind them opened and out came two youths. One with black hair and eyes and a fit body, and the other with brownish orange color with a little fat body.

These two were Yang Kai, his brother, and Dong Qing Han, his cousin. When the two stepped out, the two old guards stood aside. The two then looked at Yang Feng, who in turn looked at them for a moment and released an exasperated sigh.

As he looked at the two again, the two sprinted towards him and attacked him. Yang feng on the other hand just dodged their attacks with ease. Although he had released a sigh earlier, he was in reality really enjoying this moment.

After dodging for a few attacks Yang Feng grabbed both with their legs and lifted them up with ease, "well, did you two have enough or should I teach you guys a lesson."

Yang Feng said this in a threatening tone, but those who knew him would know that his words were just him being mischievous.

Unfortunately, the guards weren't one of those people, so when they saw their young master in possible danger they sprung into action, "release the young master this instant!."

The guard said as the moved towards him at a great speed. Yang feng just glanced at them and then threw the two youths in his hands towards the two old men.

When they grabbed the two and wanted to continue their attack, Dong Qing Han ordered, "Stop!" When the guards heard this, they were surprised but still complied.
