Ch 44: New Techniques and Battle
Ever since his breakthrough to the immortal ascension realm yang feng has been studying different types of laws and has been developing new techniques that would allow him to use his understanding in battles.
The techniques he developed were based on verious daos. The techniques he made with the Five Elements (fire, water, earth, wood, metal) and Sword as a base were:

[Description: Based on the concept of five elements harmony. It allows the user to change his Qi to five elements Qi. Allows the user to control the five elements to a certain extent and change or cancel out an elemental power.]

[Description: uses the Qi of five elements as a foundation to make Qi swords that can be controlled by the user with his divine sense, also depends on the user's Qi control.
The swords of different elements can be used simultaneously to promote the power of each other through the five elements balancing theory.]

[Five Elements Sword Formation]
[Description: A collection of sword formation, has three forms each with verying level of power.
1) Human
An array made of 25 swords (5 swords of each element) in a Pentagon shape, that can trap the enemy inside the array.
{Requirement: Immortal Ascension Realm level Qi reserves, control and divine sense}
2) Earth
An array made of 250 swords (50 swords of each element) in a complex shape of intertwined pentagons that is divided into 5 segments, each strengthening the other, can be used on a slightly larger range.
{Requirement: Saint Realm level Qi reserves, control and divine sense. Sword Arua}
3) Heaven
An array made of 1250 swords (250 swords of each element) that can be used for a large scale battle/war. This array can uses the Qi and laws of it's surroundings to isolate the inside of the array from the outside world.

these three techniques were made by yang feng to complement each other after he realized that he didn't have any type of large scale attacks.
The next techniques he made were, fist techniques:

[Dragon Fist]
[Description: A technique made by the individual Yang Feng. The technique allows the user to envoke a dragon phantom, that excludes the same aura and pressure of a real dragon, with each fist attack.
The dragon phantom then attacks the opponent while also applying the natural pressure of a dragon, so that the opponent cannot evade.
{Note: More effective on monster beasts because of the bloodline suppression of the dragon pressure.}

He had made this technique by observing the pressure released by his dragon source. So when he strikes using this technique, the dragon phantom would have the same effect on others as his dragon source pressure and aura would have on them.
Another interesting technique he made was distortion Fist technique, but he was not able to use this technique quite effectively even with his powerful body, without suffering.

[Distortion Fist]
[Description: A Fist technique made by individual Yang Feng. The technique revolves around vibration. The user has to vibrate his body parts (skin, muscles, bones) using his Qi and also gather a large amount of Qi into the fist.
When the fist strikes the opponent, the Qi and strength are released in a explosive form, coupled with the vibration of the body, the attack releases a devistating force inside the opponent's body.
When the full potential of the technique is brought out, it is possible for the user to distort even the laws governing the world, rupturing even the space and time, turning them Chaotic.
{Note: Requires a strong body, at least above the MORTAL level, to be used without any backlash}

After he had developed this technique and tried to use it, he nearly made his arm explode. But fortunately he realized it fast and was able to avoid the worst case scenario.
At first he had thought that there was something wrong with the technique. It was after he analyzed the technique that found out the that his physique was still too weak to perform the technique.
But he didn't delve too deeply, as it was just a matter of time he completed the requirement for the usage of the technique.
He then focused on developing a space technique, but due to little practical knowledge he was only able to make a single technique. Which was:

[Spiral Sensing Technique]
[Description: A technique that gives the user more enhanced and sensitive sences that allows the user to sense the change in his surroundings, in the spiral energy around him, even slight fluctuation that would be overlooked with a powerful divine sense. With an area of effect that increases with the users soul cultivation.]

After the space technique, he started making a technique by going through the visions of the Heaven-devouring insect. This technique focuses on the process of devouring.
But as he knew how dangerous it can be to absorb things, especially with the impurities and intents within everything. So he chose a different path, this technique would not directly absorb things.
Instead it would first purify them into pure energy, which is an easy task for him because he has been absorbing things to produce energy to temper his body.
This pure energy can then be used to increase his Qi, Soul and Body cultivation. But with the little amount of understanding of the devouring dao he had, he was only able to make a prototype.

[Description: A technique made by the individual Yang Feng. Allows the user to refine virtually any thing into pure energy that can be absorbed by the user without any setbacks.]
{Note: Can only refine things whose grade do not exceed the users cultivation by much. Operates at a slow speed.}

Then last but not least, his spear technique. This technique took a lot of his time. But the end result could be counted as satisfactory, except that he was again too weak to use the full potential of the spear technique.

[Supreme Severing Spear Arts] {Still in development}
[Description: a spear art that was made by the individual Yang Feng to sever anything and everything, be it a being, laws, or even heaven and earth. This technique was made as an ultimate form of spear severing arts.]
[Note: Currently host is too weak to use the full power of the technique and will have to increase his cultivation and understanding of laws and develop his own spear intent to use it.
The technique is a growth type skill and will improve, as the users cultivation improves. Allowing him to this reach the pinnacal of the Spear Grand Dao.}

This Spear Arts could not be counted as a technique, instead it is a style of using the spear. This spear is not a one strike move or anything. It is a style that a user performs, a style that is engraved in every single swing of a person's spear.

Yang feng slowly walked out of the cave and looked around himself. When he did, he was a bit surprised because just outside the he saw a stack of herbs and materials gathered and a bunch of insects guarding that stack of things.
When the insects saw him come out, they showed hostility to him. This confused him for a second, until he remembered something and manifested the wings he had gained from the heaven-devouring insect.
Once the wings manifested, the hostility from the insects melted away in an instant and they started to bow to him. Seeing this yang feng sighed, low level monster beasts don't have any form of intelligence and they behave on instincts.
He then order them, "Step down and disperse!". As he said this, all the insect present once again bowed to him before leaving in random directions.
Seeing them leave yang feng stored all the things into his inventory without looking and flew away. As he was flying, he spread out his divine sense and continued to move towards the other side of the island where he sensed Su Yan's presence.
During these three months, although he was immersed in studying the laws and making new techniques. He still missed both Su yan and Xia ning cheng.
Now that he's out, the first thing that came to his mind was to look for the two of them. As he continued to move forward he suddenly stopped flying and looked towards a certain direction.
There with his divine sense he saw something which would be enough for his cultivation till the Transendant realm. He found the giant peices of the enflamed yang stones, he also sensed the presence of an early tier 6 monster beast near the giant stones.
He thought for a second, but ultimately he went towards the enflamed yang stones. He wanted the yang stones as they would help him greatly, but most importantly he wanted to test his strength and that tier 6 monster beast was the perfect target.
He flew for a few seconds and reached just above the enflamed yang stones. He also saw the tier 6 monster beast which was a wolf looking at him with fierce eyes.
Yang feng didn't bother with the look the wolf was giving him and swiftly descended to the ground. As he reached the ground he saw the wolf looking at him as a predator looking at it's pray.
"Lowly beast! You think that you can look at this young master with those eyes, come and received your death.", although yang feng felt cringed by this line, he still said it to provoke the wolf.
Once a monster beast reaches tier 5 he would develop a slight consciousness and that consciousness will fully form when it transforms into a human form when they advance to tier 6. But there are a few case when the beast cannot change into it's human form, but they still have basic consciousness.
The wolf was of one such case. Although it didn't have a human form, thus didn't have a complete consciousness, it was still able to understand what yang feng said.
Hearing the arrogant tone of the human and they way he looked down on itself angered the wolf greatly. So with agile movements the wolf rushed towards him. Yang who saw this smiled lightly for a moment before becoming serious.
No matter how easily it was provoked, it was still a tier 6 monster beast comparable to early stage Transendant Realm. As the wolf approach Yang Feng, he also gathered strength into his fist while stimulating his dragon source.
Yang feng had decided that he would not use his spear or sword to fight the monster beast and would fight with it, with just his fists. When the wolf reached him and attacked his with it's right claw, yang feng countered it with his right fist and used the Overlord fist.
But this overlord fist was a bit different, it's strength and speed of execution was near instantaneous. When the punch connected, yang feng was pushed back a few tens of steps but was not really injuried.
The wolf however also remained unharmed and was standing at the same place. It's eyes looked at him with a bit of surprise which quickly turned into anger and killing intent. The wolf again attacked him which he again responded with an Overlord fist.
During the previous months yang feng had perfected his Overlord fist and now ingrained the method into his punching style. So now whenever he would release a punch, his body would automatically perform the same operation as the overlord fist. With just the change that his movements were more refined and flexible which made the Qi used to be almost negligible.
Like this yang feng and the wolf continued to fight for a few minutes, during which whenever they clashed, yang feng would be sent sliding back. But as time went by it could be seen that with every few clashes, the distance he was thrown back continued to decrease.
The wolf also noticed this. It had been fighting the human for sometime now, but instead of getting injured or showing fear, the human was perfectly fine and was getting more and more excited as the fight went on.
It knew that it has to finish the fight swiftly, so it distanced itself from the human and gathered a large amount of Qi into it's body that seems to have made a Qi cloke around it's body and pounced on him.
Yang feng seeing this knew that play time was over, so he also got ready to use one of the new techniques he had made.
