Chapter 18 - Mumut’s Future husband

Mumut was confused when Wati asked who the two charming men were. She only gave a slight smile.

"That is Mumut's future husband, and his assistant, Wati," Mumut's mother answered Wati's and the nurse's curiosity.

Wati nodded, "Which one is he, Sis? They both are cute, the one wearing a gray suit looks very friendly, and the one wearing a dark blue suit looks cold but dignified."

"Mumut's future husband is the one who wears a dark blue suit, Sis."

"Wow, he is suitable for Mumut! Beautiful and handsome, their faces at first glance look almost the same. I don't know that Mumut already has a future husband." Mumut blushed.

Afterward, the doctor who examined the mother and the accompanying nurse left the chairs on the pavilion's terrace. Randy immediately gave the code for Mumut to come closer to them. Mumut smiled and nodded at Wati as she passed.

She sat on the chair next to Bian. Randy then told her that the marriage contract would be carried out tomorrow at this hospital because Mumut's mother's condition didn't allow her to move about. Actually, Bian wanted the marriage contract to be made at his home to make it more private. Mumut nodded. She felt very nervous; her heart was beating fast. Mumut fixed her gaze on Bian, but the man was looking in another direction.

"Can Mrs. Wati come? She's like my mother," she asked Randy.

Randy immediately looked at Bian, but he didn't react at all.

"Well, Mrs. Wati can come around this hour."

"Alright," said Mumut.

"Tonight, I'll pick you up to prepare for tomorrow," repeated Randy. Mumut nodded, even though she felt that her mind was in a mess.

Bian and Randy then got up and left the place. They didn't say goodbye to Mumut's mother, as she was fast asleep. After they left, Mumut went into the room and told Wati that tomorrow was the wedding day and asked Mrs. Wati to come to the hospital.

Nurse Muna, who was still in the room, immediately said goodbye as her shift was over and her replacement had arrived.

Wati was still waiting for Mumut's mother for some time until it was time for midday prayer, then she said goodbye. Mumut reminded her to come to the pavilion tomorrow, to which she confirmed gladly.

Mumut watched her leaving until she was out of sight. She felt grateful to have a neighbor like Wati, who was always helpful to her and her mother.
