"Darling, calm down, she is also my daughter, not only you."
"But still, Ametsa is also my daughter, you know that."
Meyra looked annoyed at her husband, then said again, "Daniel, look, your dad sucks, doesn't he?" she says.
"What did you say?" Hanzo glanced scornfully at the woman beside him at this time. "I've never succeeded I, Daniel?"
Meanwhile, Daniel, who saw the commotion in front of his eyes, immediately rolled his eyes while feeding his food back into his mouth. In contrast to Ametsa who currently feels awkward with the atmosphere around her.
"Daniel," the girl called softly.
The man who heard it immediately looked up with raised eyebrows. "What's that?"
"I should go home okay? I feel like they fought because of me, I honestly don't want this to happen to your parents."
Feeling guilty for what he did, Ametsa immediately lowered her head, while Daniel who saw it immediately intervened a little so that now Hanzo and Meyra were silent again.
"Hey you guys shut up, just scare my girl," the man said. "Ametsa is scared to see you two arguing."
Instantly everyone at the dining table immediately focused their attention on Daniel with an inexplicable look. The confused man asked, "Why are you looking at me like that?" He asked.
Remembering what he had just done made Daniel immediately cover his mouth with both hands. He was looking forward to going back to just a moment ago when he had said something that made him utterly embarrassed.
"How," said Meyra with a smile. "You noticed it?"
"Forget it, pretend I never said anything to all of you."
Meanwhile, Ametsa is now feeling funny about her friend's behavior while shaking her head before finally returning to continue her dinner.
"Good evening, Ametsa," said Meyra to the girl in front of her. "If you need anything, just knock on Daniel's door, okay?"
"O-oh, fine, but it's, right, it's past midnight and it's almost morning, isn't he sleeping?"
"I don't even know, Ametsa. But I'm talking like this because your room is too far from mine and Daniel's room is not, that's what I mean."
Ametsa who heard it immediately chuckled then nodded her head before finally looking around again.
"What are you looking for?"
"No, Auntie. That's fine, then good night, I'm feeling better now, thank you."
"That's good then, I have treated you as my biological child."
After Meyra left, now Ametsa began to close the door and approached a bed and lay there so comfortably. Her smile never faded remembering the incident a few moments ago where Daniel was embarrassed by what he said.
"Daniel ... Daniel ... what it is, you are my best friend and your family is also good, that's more than enough for me and I don't want to lose you."
Unknowingly tears started to come out just like that remembering the incident some time ago just because of a man named Jason.
"What did I do wrong?" she asked himself. "Why are all men so mean to me? Why can't there be someone like Uncle Hanzo and Daniel?"
Crying for her life that Ametsa thought would lead to a change, but it didn't, quite the opposite until the girl fell asleep.
"We meet again, right, Ametsa?"
The voice that he hadn't heard in a long time now reappeared, making her immediately open her eyes. Ametsa looked around, but there was no one in this place which made the girl immediately sigh for a moment.
"It's me, Ametsa. Do you remember? How was your date? Did everything go well?"
Ametsa's heart raced so fast after hearing the man's words that made the girl quite scared because she thought if she went on a date, then she would never meet him again.
But it turned out to be wrong, Ametsa could still hear his voice making the girl, who had not yet opened her eyes again, burst into tears from the corners of her eyes.
"Don't cry," he whispered in her ear. "I don't like my girl crying."
A gentle caress at the corner of her eye made Ametsa immediately open her eyes, so that now right in front of her the girl saw a man standing in front of her.
"You ..." Ametsa's eyes widened at the person in front of her, then said again, "How did you get here? This isn't my house, is it!"
The man's eyebrows immediately rose after hearing the words of the girl in front of him. "So what if this isn't your house?"
"I want to sleep, and again, what if someone sees where you are?"
"Where am I?" repeated the man who soon smiled. "Didn't you notice, Ametsa?"
"Realized what you meant, huh?!" Ametsa was annoyed with the man in front of her. "Show your face just once, then I'll stop talking."
"Why to stop talking, I didn't ask," said the man, now crossing his arms over his chest. "I asked, you should have answered, don't distract me."
Then after that Ametsa also massaged the bridge of her nose for a moment before finally lifting her head again to look at the person in front of her at this time.
"Then what, huh?"
"You are in a dream world, are you not aware of it?"
Ametsa's eyes immediately widened upon hearing those words.
"WHAT?! IMPOSSIBLE, YOU ARE JUST JUST JUDGING, RIGHT?!
"Look at me, am I kidding?"
One of the girl's eyebrows shot up upon hearing that, then said, "What should I see from you? I see nothing."
The man was embarrassed because he had forgotten that he did not allow Ametsa to see his face, therefore, there was nothing wrong with the girl speaking to him like that before.
"Yeah, you're right, never mind, maybe next time I won't talk."
The man immediately turned his face the other way with that faint smile, to be honest, there was a sense of shame in him at this time, but everything had happened.
"Gosh, why am I so stupid, what a shame, huh!" he said in his heart. "Never mind, I won't say that again in front of her."
Amid the silence that was going on, suddenly a laugh that was so funny in his ears made the man immediately look back at a girl who was currently laughing.
"A-are you laughing, Ametsa?" he said he didn't expect it.
"According to you?" said the girl annoyed before finally laughing again.
"Really?!" The mysterious man still did not expect that Ametsa would laugh just before the meeting. He saw the girl in front of him was currently sad, but after seeing this, he was very happy. "Laugh, you're so pretty when you're like this."
"You can," said Ametsa with both hands that were now wiping the tears that came out of her eyelids. "I laughed because I found it funny at your behavior. I know you were embarrassed by what you said earlier, right?"
"Ametsa, you'd better laugh than talk like this."
After that, the girl's laughter exploded so that the man who saw it was really surprised. But not long after that, he was happy to see Ametsa laughing because of it.
"This is what I've wanted for a long time, Ametsa," he said to himself. "You have to stay happy."
