Chapter 26

Agus opened the door knob of the house very slowly. Hope Dinda doesn't hear it. Because the time has entered the early hours of the morning.

"Just got home!" Dinda's voice surprised Agus.

"yes, Din. I was overtime," Agus said lyingly. Even though he had just returned from club dinasty.

"Oh, I thought you were where," Dinda said back to the room.

Agus was relieved. He thought Dinda would be suspicious of him. He didn't want Dinda to know if he came to the Club.

Dinda stood in the Lamongan soto tavern. The shop in the corner of Surabaya is indeed quite crowded with visitors. Because of the distinctive taste of soto and its low price, people choose Lamongan's signature culinary as a mainstay.

"Dinda!" said a handsome man who was behind Dinda. Dinda flipped her body, staring at the man.

"Doctor!" Dinda was surprised when she saw that the man who had called her was Doctor Firman.

"You also like to eat here?" asked Doctor Firman sitting beside Dinda.

"Yes, Doctor!" replied Dinda awkwardly. The shadow of making love to Doctor Firman seems to be remembered.

"It's been a long time since we saw each other. I have something to ask you," said Doctor Firman looking seriously.

"Ask what, Doc?"

Dinda's heart thumped. She was afraid that Doctor Firman would ask about the events of that night.

Doctor Firman hadn't had time to ask. There was a call from a female waiter.

"Miss Dinda's order!"

Call the waiter. Dinda immediately headed to the counter. She felt fortunate, this way she didn't have to answer Doctor Firman's question.

"Docter I'm leaving first. You see, I'm in a hurry!" said Dinda walking quickly leaving Doctor Firman who had been looking at him since.

"Wait!" Doctor Firman held Dinda's hand. Dinda's steps also stopped.

A cold sweat ran down Dinda's forehead. Her heartbeat thumped faster.

Doctor Firman got up from the stool and approached Dinda.

"Tell me, what happened that night?" asked Doctor Firman staring seriously. Dinda's face had already turned pale.

"Nothing happened, Doc! Please let go of my hand." Dinda pleaded.

"I will let you go as long as you tell the truth." Doctor Firman grasped Dinda's hand more and more firmly.

"Nothing!" said Dinda irritably. Forcibly pulled her hand out of Doctor Firman's grasp.

Doctor Firman became more curious. He forced Dinda to get in his car.

"Let me go! Open the door!" Dinda struggled in the car as Doctor Firman locked her in the car with his.

"Open the door or I will scream!" Dinda threatened. Staring resentfully at Doctor Firman.

"Just shout!" Doctor Firman didn't care. He started the car's engine and started running it at high speed.

Dinda was terrified. Her hand held the handle of the car door tightly. Her body swung around as Doctor Firman picked up speed.

"Doctor Firman, I hope you don't go crazy! This is very dangerous as hell. We can die!" shouted Dinda in fear. Her heart seemed to have slipped out of place.

Doctor Firman smiled with satisfaction. "I'll stop if you tell me the truth!" replied Doctor Firman glancing at the terrified Dinda.

"Don't be crazy, Doc! I've told you the truth," Dinda replied intently.

"Lie!" jerked Doctor Firman incredulously. He added more speed. Now the car is driving as fast as the wind.

"STOP!" shouted Dinda. "I'll tell you the truth."

Instantly Doctor Firman stepped on the brakes of the car abruptly. Making Dinda's body slip almost hit the dashboard.

"Now tell me what you did that night in my apartment?" Doctor Firman greeted seriously.

Dinda's hands were shaking. Staring fearfully at Doctor Firman. "That night I did come to your apartment. Because I need money to pay for my husband's hospital expenses. But when I found out you were drunk I chose to leave," Dinda replied haltingly.

"You're lying!" jerked Doctor Firman with bulging eyes.

"Right Doctor. I dare to swear I didn't lie!" Dinda said confidently that Doctor Firman would believe.

Doctor Firman smiled sarcastically. "I don't believe in your vows at all! It is impossible for you to just come later. Because I found the bill note on my bed." Doctor Firman continued to urge.

Dinda's heart seemed to stop beating. She could not have said everything that happened that night to Doctor Firman. Surely it would make Doctor Firman unwilling to leave him.

"Dinda replied!"

Dinda was terrified. Even tears had already filled her eyes.

"We didn't do anything, Doctor!" said Dinda with a trembling voice holding back a cry. Shook her head, scared.

"You lied Dinda!" shouted Doctor Firman shaking Dinda's shoulder. Instantly the tears that were held on Dinda's eyes fell.

"Take a look at me Din! Look and say if indeed that night nothing happened!" The man's face full of sweat had his heart. "Swear by your marriage. If you lie, then it will be your marriage that will be at stake!" Doctor Firman threatened to look seriously into Dinda's eyes.

Long enough Dinda was silent. Only the sound of her crying was heard. Doctor Firman, meanwhile, was still waiting with a serious look.

"I swear by my marriage that night nothing happened between me and you!" said Dinda forcefully.

Slowly doctor Firman's two hands that were on Dinda's shoulders came off. His face suddenly turned disappointed. For quite a while, Doctor Firman hid his face on the steering wheel of the car.

The sound of the door that Dinda was about to open awakened Doctor Firman from grief. The man pulled Dinda's body and dropped a kiss right on Dinda's lips.

Dinda pushed away the body of Doctor Firman. Then slapped him directly on her cheek.

"I hate you!" jerked Dinda angrily. She immediately got out of the car.

Doctor Firman does not remain Silent. She immediately got out of the car and tried to chase Dinda.

"Dinda, please listen to me first! I'm sorry!" shouted Doctor Firman continuing to chase After Dinda.

Dinda continued to run after the busway that had just left the stop. After the busway stopped, Dinda immediately walked in and let Doctor Firman continue to chase after her.

The night is getting deeper. But Dinda's eyes were not also sleepy. She was still thinking about Agus, who hadn't returned home yet. Although it was almost early in the morning.

"Even though I'm going to go to the morning, why hasn't Agus gone home yet!" Dinda was worried. Afraid if Agus's disease recurs. Without Dinda realizing it she fell asleep again.

"Agus!" said Dinda as she flipped her body and saw that Agus was already lying beside her.

"Good morning!" Agus replied smiling.

"Is it morning?" Dinda retorted. She felt that she had just slept for a while. Maybe it's because it's too long to wait for Agus's return.

"It's already a pity!"

"You just got off work?" Dinda asked.

"yes, starting today I work night shifts. So I'll go home in the morning," Agus replied.

Dinda's face was doubtful. "Is Mr. Ido's workshop so crowded? Until there should be two shifts?"

"Yes, Din, Mr. ido's workshop is indeed very crowded," Agus replied lyingly.

Today Dinda came home quite late at night. The restaurant guests who were quite crowded forced Dinda to work overtime.
