As they made their way back into the mansion, Stefan kept an eye on Sage. They were moving fairly quickly while she and Katherine were conversing, but Stefan was actually walking more slowly with the demon by his side.
He had a strong sense that something powerful was lurking around her. Even though it didn't seem to be a threat, he was still concerned.
Had she come across someone powerful? They weren't supposed to be lurking her energy, even if she had.
"Her energy.." He trailed off and came to a halt as he watched her and Katherine disappear down the hall. "You..!" He looked over at the demon beside him.
Ashton smirked and took a step towards him, which caught him off guard, and he took an unconscious step backwards, swallowing hard. "D...do you think hiding something like that from Cyrus is a good idea?" He stumbled over his words.
