"You know it isn't my fault that we are both married, do you?" The prince asked

"I know. We both have to listen to our parents" Anna said absent minded

"I don't have to listen to my father. He's old and he can't make decisions for me" He said

"Why did you agree to marry me then? You had a choice, I didn't" She turned her face to him

"I can tell you one thing. I'm of age to get married. Once you're 18, you have all the rights to get married before 20. You enjoyed so much freedom, Anna. You are already 21 but getting married was not on your list"

"You talk too much" Anna told him

"Wrong! I honour our wedding day by talking to you. I don't like sulking women. You've probably heard about me"

"Are the rumors true?"

"Do you want to believe the rumors over the words of your husband?" He asked

"You're not my husband" She retorted. 'Husband' sounds good though. Hearing him say that made her heart skip a beat.

"Why are we married then? Believe it or not. Also, I don't like rumors. I actually heard some about you too" He rested his body on the seat and crossed his legs nonchalantly

"I don't have rumors"

"But you do though. I can't believe the lioness of Lovarta is a witch who stays up in her room all day and sneak out to perform rituals at night with the organs of..."

"Stop. I did no such thing so, just stop. Where did you get those from?" Anna cut him off

"Your people are talking about it. I got it from girls who throw themselves at him, I just had to confirm if any of it was true. I have to be honest, not many people like you with me. You'll have to live with spies all the time" He said

"What?" Anna gaped

"Don't worry, you'll get used to it"

"What the hell did you get me into?"

"I'm a very straightforward man. You know I'm a very feared prince so I have a lot of enemies. Do you know that my enemies have allies and my allies' allies also have allies. They'll do anything to bring me down and make me powerless, hopeless and useless"

"Please, excuse all formalities. Call me by my name"

"Really? Marriage life is very hard for you princesses, isn't it? You don't even get to know your husband's name. Harsh. I'm Juverl but, you can call me Juverl" He said

"There's no difference in-" Anna stopped when she noticed a shadow trailing after them from the forests. She had a feeling there was someone there.

"We'll be in Silith at noon. Save up your energy. Don't be scared of some little shadow, it'll wear itself out soon. Aaron" He called one of his men

"On it, sir" Aaron said and the carriages stopped moving

Aaron got off the second carriage to check out the situation outside. While at it, Anna was busy thinking about what to do if they were under attack and they couldn't help her

"Your highness. You won't believe who it is" Aaron called from outside the carriage

Juverl got down from the carriage to check it out. Anna was then left alone in the open carriage.

"Oh my world, can't you wait a week or two before trying to kill my wife?" Juverl face palm himself

"Evil doesn't take vacations" Anna heard a husky voice say. Her husband did have a lot of enemies like he said. But, why were they after her life? A round ball rolled into the carriage and smoke emanated from it filling her nose. She lost consciousness on spot

"Are you stalling, Eric? I know your tactics. You don't roll alone, you always have bad luck"

"I am, prince. You saw through me perfectly" Eric said and laughed out loud.

"Tie him up and throw him into the carriage. Torture him properly. Don't let him slip off this time" Juverl told his men before heading back to the carriage.

When he got there he saw Anna lying down unconscious in it. "As expected" He said

Juverl kicked the round ball outside. He sat down and placed Anna on his lap. Zoom sat in position and the carriages set off once again. All that's left is for Anna to wake up.
