Taking care of him

Roseline's POV

In spite of all the humiliation, I still found myself ranting out on him.

"Why do you always keep pushing me away? I know the reality of our relationship and I am very well aware that we are going to change our paths after 1 year, till then if you need you can at least share with me what's bothering you. Anyway, I am going to forget everything about you after this year ends. You need not to worry about that" I said.

He repeated my words, mocking my tone. "You need not worry about me. Sleep!"

My frustration grew, fueling my response. "There are certain things over which you don't have power. Ordering me to sleep isn't going to magically transport me back to the deep slumber I was in before you started shouting." My voice crackled with annoyance.

Silence hung heavy in the room, enveloping us in its tension and suddenly it was broken by the churning of his stomach.
