CH13. Miss Ye is ungrateful

Sigh! Does she want to send him away that much? Had it been any other girl, they would have done their best to hold him back.

He assumes how she is biting on her lips and shakes his head. "You only pay kindness with unkindness," he says. 

"Mmh?" Xiao Xiao opens her eyes at him. She does not understand how she has repaid him with unkindness.

"I have given you my food, but you can't give me a place to sleep," he pouts without knowing. His eyes do not look away from her even the slightest.

"Um..." Xiao Xiao is stomped for words. She looks around uneasily. "Should we ask manager Chen to prepare a room for you? I am sure she will give you something better."

He creases his brows and sighs. "Forget it. I will just assume that Miss Ye is ungrateful," he says and walks out.

Xiao Xiao sighs. Did he really want to spend a night in her room? He must be joking. She did not ask for his food. He gave her by himself!

"Good night young master," she says and locks her door before she gets a reply from him.

She slowly walks back to her bed and rubs her belly that is now full. She has not had such a good food in a while now.

She stays awake for a very long time since she slept the whole day. She recalls everything that has happened today and sighs.

"I will forgive you young master for taking advantage of me since since you came to look after me," she says.

She touches her lips that he had kissed in the morning and blushes. She still does not understand what would make her boss kiss her all of a sudden. Did he call her in his office to do that?

Or is he those kinds of bosses who would take advantage of their employees once they get the chance? She has to be careful when dealing with him in the future.

She takes her diary and makes some records of today's happenings. She does that so that she can remember what to do and what not to.

Before she sleeps, there is a gentle knock on her door. She opens it and the manager sneaks in.

Immediately, she feels guilty. She remembers the she had been warned to be careful when serving the young master.

But what did she do? She neglected her work because of personal issues. She locked herself up and refused to serve the young master. Instead, it is the young master that had to give her his food.

"I am sorry manager Chen," she apologises. "I will be careful from today. I swear I won't repeat my behaviour. I disrespected all of you seniors."

But the manager pulls her to sit with her on the bed. " Are you fine?" She asks and looks at her with concern. It does not appear like she is blaming her for anything.

She nods her head in confusion. "I am fine."
