Connor

Connor was dreaming of sweet watermelons. He was surrounded by them and they were dancing while he was singing karaoke. It was a bizarre dream. But it was also a good one. Connor loved food and watermelon was a personal favorite. Sweet perfectly ripe he opened his mouth to take another delicious bite…..suddenly the ground of his little oasis was shaking earthquake? No something.... He opened one eye to reality.

"Mellon cakes?" Connor muttered sleepily. Cody gave Connor a weird look.

"Did they drug you with something? Come on wake up." Cody muttered. Connor blinked a few times and his surroundings started to sink in. They were in someplace dark with only a few low lights on the ceiling. They were also surrounded... by llamas?

There were at least 50…no more like 100 llamas and they all were oozing dark element residue. They all looked absolutely terrifying like demon llamas. The clearly once beautiful llamas with bright eyes had turned into llamas with darkness streaming from their coats and eyes glowing red. Totally nightmare material of children. Forget children this would likely haunt Connor's dreams for awhile.

"Yeeeeekp" yelped Connor trying to stand up but his legs felt like jelly.

The hoard of angry llamas started to close in. Cody scooped Connor up into his arms and jumped against the back wall using it to propel himself up to an old water beam. From there he managed to jump to an old construction catwalk near the ceiling.

Below the llamas formed a circle around the area. Just what the heck was wrong with these llamas! On the far side of the area Connor saw Kyle and Blaze fighting a group of the llamas. Kyle was using his sky magic to force a wind wall holding the llamas back while Blaze was making some roasted llama chops.

Connor realized with sadness that he felt bad for the llamas. Why were they hunting them? Or maybe a better question, why were the llamas after them to begin with.

That was also when the hoard of llamas broke past Kyle and Blaze. They flooded toward a blown up tunnel. Their coats were a sea of colors.

"Shoot! We have to stop them!" Yelled Kyle as he started chasing after the llamas. But compared to a llama he was too slow, even with his windy sky magic.

They were moving faster than llamas ever should. The ones below Cody and Connor also turned toward the now open tunnel. Was this an effect of the dark element? Also how did all these llamas have the dark element without dying? Connor couldn't feel any normal element coming from the llamas.

Connor noticed a bright light starting to flow from Cody's hands. Really he was going to use it here? Against all those poor llamas?

"Lightning!" Growled Cody and the light in his hand burst forth far faster and stronger than any of the other elements. It shot through the escaping llamas and they vanished out of existence. However half of them had already made it through the tunnel.

"You take care of the King, we'll deal with the llamas." Yelled Blaze from across the area. He and Kyle shot up the tunnel after the llamas.

Behind them Connor heard an icy voice that made him shiver all over. "Ah ah, and after I went to all the trouble to create those llamas and blow up a nice easy entrance for them. Why must you spoil my fun?"

Cody set Connor down on the catwalk. "You're the one with a stupid vendetta against llamas." He growled back.

"They are mean vicious creatures who spit on innocent children but one little change in the world and suddenly they are all heroes. What's not to love?" he spat sarcastically. "No matter, these dark llamas will kill people's goodwill toward llamas and they will return to their previously hated state."

Llamas? This whole thing was literally about llamas? What the heck! Connor stared at the scene below him as Cody and the tall man, or King was it? slowly circled each other.

"If you back out and leave my llamas alone, I'll give you and your little boyfriend over there the ability to leave unharmed." Said the King, "Consider it a thank you for you being the last test subject for my dark element."

"You know I can't do that." Cody replied, his own tone had turned to ice. "After all, I wasn't your intended target. You could say I have my own vendetta to satisfy."

"Ah ah, well can't say I didn't give you the chance." He smirked as if hoping for a fight. Connor was also randomly annoyed by the man's habit of say ah ah, a lot.

The both seemed to stare at each other for a long second, and then both moved with astonishing speed. Cody had his bright element up to its top speed. The King person was surrounded in darkness just like the llamas.

The battle had only just begun and it had been maybe five second, but Connor couldn't even see either of the fighters. To him they were both streaks of light in the darkness. One of light yellow and the other of pure darkness. In the low light it was hard to follow the dark one already, but considering what he saw was probably just after images, he couldn't even begin to tell who was winning.

Ten seconds? Suddenly Cody was thrown into a wall with lots of force. The wall left a crevice like a meteor.

"Cody!" he gasped.

But the small guy immediately was back on his feet. "How rude you ruined my jacket." Said Cody brushing off some dust. His jacket was shredded on one side. The King had stopped moving temporarily as well. Both seemed out of breath.

"I'll admit, you're better than I thought you'd be." The King sneered. "Pity it won't be good enough!"

With that the two launched back at each other, and Connor had to go back to watching the light show unfold.
