Chapter 1

It was a cool summer day as the weather became cool as the wind blew in 1994. Desarie whined that she wanted to swim as the two boys just let her complain about the weather as they  walked to school. " You could still swim, but you'd be freezing your ass off. " Moite said as the boys laughed as they walked ahead of her as she just sometimes found them annoying. They always hung out but having another girl around would be nice. They all grew up together so did their parents. She over heard a lot of gossip at school as she tried to graduate. It wasn't that she didn't like school. It was the part were she already knew the things they taught her.

Her parents taught her when she was young. They felt like that was a better thing from them to do as it kept her busy. Thankfully to them it did. She never called herself smart but when it came to being at school she became bored but she still enjoyed it as she wanted to make more friends. Moite and Kinase always hung out without her and sometimes they knew it bothered her.

When Racha and her parents finally moved back to her mom's home town it was because of family. That said a lot because they didn't want us to come back. They never told her why as to them it was a secret even though It clearly wasn't. It made her miss her mom even more but because she was young when it happened it didn't cause to much pain. Uiaze would been married to Wren her father for 2 years now as they seemed more in love than the first day they met.

When we came back to Decorah, Iowa it was a Friday as that Monday she'd be going  back to school. She begged her dad that she didn't want to as he didn't take it. Sometimes she thought they weren't being fair as she sulked as she unpacked most her things as she became tired fast. She did have a big room with a walk in closet and a bathroom inside of her room, which she never had. She didn't have that much clothes as she remembered her step mom had told her they could go shopping which put her in a better mood.   If they were going to send her to school at least they could do is take her shopping.

She went in her parents room but not finding them she went towards the living area as boxes laid everywhere. Maybe today wasn't a good day to ask.

" Hey sweety." Her step mom was always nice to her, never yelled or raised her hand at her. Thats what made her cool.

" I wanted to ask if we could go shopping before I go to school Monday?"  She must've remembered as she turned as she turned back as she simply told her to get ready as she went towards her father.

I didn't want to watch as I just did exactly what she told me as I also grabbed my coat as it was under a few things in a box. She was ready to go as her father spoke to her as he said that he had everything under control as he asked while she was out to grab a few things from the store as he handed her a list.  " Sure will. " They kissed as I mentally threw up in my mind as I walked into the living area hoping it would be all unpacked soon. She already felt casterphobic as she and her step mom went to the car.

" I did see a cute store on the way here. Would you like to stop by there?" 

" Yes please."

Thats exactly what they did. She found a few dresses that went to her mid thigh as it didn't but cover most her chest.  $5 Didn't seem much as she noticed a pair of pants she knew she wanted. It looked to be a pale white color as she found her size.  A cashier watched as she and her mom shopped as she gave her a key. " Down that hall to the right. Second door."  She didn't seem bored but she wasn't estatic about her job. Then again she was only 17. She wouldn't know anything about having a job.  Decorah, Iowa held promise to it's town. They had a large museum and beautiful nature spots including Dunning's spring park. What most people liked was Penny's Diner. Everyone loved it.

Uiaze and Racha visited as they understood why it was loved so much. She was excited that she got more clothes as they had stopped by the store next to it before getting a bite to eat. Everything fit her as her Step mom Uiaze let her get anything she needed. When they sat at the Diner to eat a lady had met them at their table as they got drinks.

" I know you're not ready for school but you might make some friends." Uiaze said hopeful as she also drank a blue water margarita. Racha just a had a pop as she waited for the food. Since she was an only child they pretty much spoiled her thankfully they didn't a big deal out of a lot of things until she had some hormonal issues. She was scared as her step mom explained everything as it didn't exactly calm her. She thanked Uiaze for the clothes probably for the 5th times as the food came. She had ordered a fresh fried tenders with some hot fries with ketchup on the side. Uiaze had gotten a plate of steak and mashed potatoes as I knew we had to get something for dad. We had eventually left as mom left a tip as we shopped some more as we had finally went to the store to get what was on the list before going home.

I saw two boys and a girl walking as we went back towards home as one of the boys waved. I didn't want to be rude so I waved back. " I hope they live close."

I said more to myself as mom seemed happy about kids my age just around the block from us. It made me excited as we pulled up into the driveway as mom parked the car as I got out and helped with bags. " If you can just get a couple more bags, Its freezing."

" Ok." I did what she asked as I tried to knock on the door as dad looked very tired. " Hey honey. " Dad grabbed some bags out of Racha's hands as she knew the next day she would need to help mom and dad with everything.

"Honey here's the bag with the screw's and oil for the stove." Uiaze seemed thrilled about everything. She had met some of the family when they had their little get together with some family when they had gotten married, but not a lot showed up. Those that did pittied Racha as they felt like he didn't care about Her mother as he moved on quickly. She didn't want to think back on it as she didn't want to remember the fight he had with his brother about Racha's mother as he had told them they were going to move back eventually. " It was because of them and you can't even stand half of them. What happens if she has powers? what are you going to do then?"  She was young when that happened but she still didn't know what that had meant as she went to her room. 

The next day Uiaze woke Racha up at 8 sharp as Racha didn't want to even think about unpacking she just wanted to go back to sleep.

" Racha there's a girl about your age at the door."  That had her up in a second flat as she quickly threw on some clothes that laid on the box just in front of her bed. Uiaze had smiled big as she watched her get ready as she ran to her bathroom.  She had a friend back home but she knew after her move he wasn't going to remember her, if anything he'd forget. It saddened her but she wouldn't blame him as she could barely remember his smile or laugh. When she had gotten ready she ran down the stairs as she almost bumped into a gorgious girl that was taller than her as she guessed her mother was with her as she apoligized. " It's fine." She had beautiful skin as she felt like it glowed right before her eyes as she noticed she was staring. " I'm sorry. " She lifted her hand as she introduced herself as Racha.

" I'm Desarie."  From that moment on They knew they were going to have a good friendship as Her mom gave Uiaze a apple pie. " Hey mom is it ok if I let her see my room?" 

" Sure sweetie. " 

Uiaze was very happy to have met another woman and Racha could tell as less boxes seemed to be everywhere. They must've stayed up all night. " Racha thought as she led Desarie to her room as she felt like she should've done the same thing. Nothing came before sleep. " I wish I had a walk in closet. You're lucky."

" Yeah.  It's really great, at our old house I didn't have this big of a room. " She sat on my bed as I opened a box as she watched.

" Do you live next door?" Racha asked hopeful as Desarie explained her mom and her had walked from down the street. Eventually Desarie and her mom had left and It showed that she had a lot to do as her father had brought up her desk yesterday as she mentally thanked him in her head as she put her desk thing right next to it as well as her long rectangle box that she opened into her closet. 

When Racha was finally done with her room she helped her mother unpack some boxes in the kitchen." Your room looked nice." Her mother said as she explained she had put my dress that was in her bag from the day before on my bed. She knew this was pretty boring but the faster they got this done the better she thought as the front door opened.    " Thanks. I tried my best."

Wren had to work that day at his new job. He enjoyed it very much and it brought some more money home so they could pay the bills. " Home." He said as he watched as we both had the kitchen stuff all neat and tidy and put up where they were supposed to be. He didn't have to move jobs as the same job from home let him move to Iowa.

4 Months Later:

Racha and Desarie along with Moite and Kinase all sat around the Diner as they ordered their usaul. Racha always got the strawberry milkshake with fresh fries or a plate of fried tenders along with that as Desarie always got a chocolate shake, and stole several fries from Racha. Kinase and Moite always ordered the same thing as the other as they always fussed over we didn't eat as much they did. " They just need to learn to not even speak like that. Ya'll sound funny." Racha said that mainly towards them as Desarie just sat there not backing her up as usual.  " Sorry I'm bored."   She said as I leaned over and noticed a guy looking in our direction as she immediatly perked up as she looked back at him and smiled as I ate the rest of the fries before she noticed.

" Ok it's hot outside and we just got out of school, how about we go swim?"

" Yes Desarie said not hesitating as Kinase looked at Moite as they both looked at us with a look. " What?"

She regretted it as they had those looks on their faces as Desarie and Racha gave each other looks as they quickly paid and ran before the boys could beat them to it.

Desarie ran faster than Racha as she noticed Desarie didn't hesitate as she fast walked into the creek as she took off her shoes as someone from behind pushed racha in as she acted out on purpose. Moite had suddenly grabbed Racha as he felt like he had hurt her  as she quickly jumped onto him as Kinase just watched as he realized he was the last one in. That means he had to pay the bill the next time they went to the Diner. Racha had jumped onto Moite as they were suddenly very close to each other and not intentonally. " Hey lovers." Kinase yelled as we were holding onto each other as I quickly pulled away and into the cooling cold water. Racha gulped hard as she came up from out of the water as Moite was right there in front of her as she jumped away from him as he grabbed her around her waist and pulled her backwards as she tried to go towards Desarie as she knew what she felt from Moite as She turned fast and pushed him hard.

" Racha could tell Kinase and Desarie didn't like each other as much as they watched Moite and Racha fight with their powers with the water. Racha moved as she used her power to move the water into his face as he sputtered. " Ok. Thats it. " He didn't use the power to do what she had down instead he walked towards her with a prowling look on his face as she knew the look on her face burnt red. She knew what he was thinking as he stalked fast towards her into the shallow end where she was going towards Desarie as she called for help as they both looked at her in sudden entertainment as they just laughed. " Desa-."

Her calling was cut short as He tackled her from behind as he turned her body before meeting the water. " Get off. Moite off." She whined which she knew was a turn on for him as she regretted it as she looked into his face as he stared down at her lovingly. " I'd give anything."  She wasn't confused she knew what that meant but she stared up at him as he stared down at her. " Get a room!" We heard as I motioned with my hand as he flew back into the deep part of the Creek.  I looked and laughed walking towards Desarieas I heard my name. " Racha!" I turned my body as he flipped me off before flying out of the water and onto the grass. " Keep wishing honey." I mentally gave myself a high five as he didn't seem to thrilled about that comment as I laughed out loud..

I could tell he wanted to take me right there. I knew what I felt when he had pulled me close to him when he laid on top of me and I didn't know what to feel emotionally yet I knew I liked him a little more than a friend. His smile could turn me on in a second flat. I wanted to brush my fingers through his curly hair, and have his eyes stare into mine.

I mentally shook my mind from those thoughts as I knew Desarie was bored. " What time is it anyways?" Desarie sighed as I laid beside her looking at the sky. Racha was glad it wasn't cloudy she enjoyed the pretty weather when it wasn't to warm or to cold. She wished it was like this everyday.  Desarie sometimes didn't get along with Kinase but she knew they liked each other and it wasn't a secret even Moite knew.
