Von had learned the truth. He wasn't a human being. He was never normal. And this said it all for him. Finally, he understood why he couldn't fit in with his peers no matter how hard he tried. He was different. He was an incubus.

Now, Von was quite versed when it came to the succubus. He had spent quite a morsel of his time reading fantastical erotica and the other genres that had caught his attention. But he knew very little about the male counterpart. Naive when it came to the incubus.

He was baffled. Utterly disoriented. But the fact that he was secretly a concealed incubus for all these years evinced one thing: it elucidated his concern regarding his extraordinarily obsessive sex drive. He finally understood why he and his twin were always so aroused.

"How do I get this text out of my face?" Von asked, turning to Maeva.

"Why, it's quite simple," she said, still hovering, "tell it to or close the grimoire."

Von closed the book in his hands. I'll play around with his later, he thought. He looked out at the kingdom in the distance, feeling a smirk trickling upon his face. Maybe this was not all bad. All he had gotten was what he'd been dreaming of all these years: a thrilling, refreshing experience. A sensation--similar to that of the ones he often received when starting a new good book--flushed through him. Perhaps a new start?

"Hey, Vyn," Von called.

Vyn fell in beside him. "Little bro, what's up? Have I ever told you just how much I love you? You're literally my favorite."

"Well somebody's corny today," Von narrowed his eyes at him. "What do you want?"

Vyn theatrically pouted his lips as he tried his very best to do kitten-eyes. "Can we stay?"

Von looked at him thoughtfully, fixing his glasses. Then, he mumbled to himself and sighed. "Fine. We'll stay. I mean, there's no escape from this island any way, right Maeva?"

"Escape is almost impossible," Maeva smiled, "and the very few escapees are no longer with us in this world."

"Well, you heard what she said," Von looked at Vyn. "We're basically stuck here."

Vyn paused, peering at Von incredulously. He knew Von was one of very little composure. "And you're not throwing tantrums because of it?"

Von turned around. "No, I'm not."

Alongside Maeva, Vyn followed him as he walked down the path toward the kingdom in the distance. "What about mom? Weren't you worried about her? Are you just gonna give up?"

"Who said I was giving up? Trust me when I say I'll find some a feasible way to escape this place." He continued walking, keeping that soft smile on his face. He figured he'd find another way to liberate himself of this confinement. But not yet. He wanted to enjoy himself first.

Vyn smirked as he pursued him. He couldn't hold it off any longer. Finally he's come to his senses, he thought, finally.

"Hey, you two, wait up!" Earl darted down the golden path toward Vyn and Von. His head was high, his back straight, his steps confident. Down to his sprint had an elegance to it.

From the time Vyn and Von recognized the voice, their subtle smiles dipped, becoming apparent frowns. They had not even bothered looking back at him. They simply waited up until the very moment he fell in beside them on their saunter.

Earl stroked a hand through blue hair of conspicuous luster, a malicious smirk materializing on his face. "What races are you two?"

Vyn and Von gave him the cold shoulder, averting their gazes and pretending as though he simply wasn't in their presence.

"What, hiding it from me?" He smirked, leaning toward Vyn as he sauntered. He'd leaned so much that he managed to nuzzle himself against Vyn for a brief.

Vyn pulled away aggressively and quickened his steps; as did Von.

Earl kept up. "Come on, boys, don't be immature. I'm only asking a simple question. To my understanding, you're both related by blood. So, I'd assume you are of similar, if not, the same race."

Earl recognized Maeva, the pink fairy-like woman with a halo. She resembled his personal counselor, except his was blue. "Hey, you, counselor.

Maeva flew down toward him. "Yes, sir?"

"What races are these two?"

"Hmm," she placed a hand upon her chin, "I don't think it's wrong of me share such information so ..."

"So ... ?"

"They are both incubi."

Earl mulled for a moment, tittered and burst into loud cackles. "You're serious? If this world is anything near dangerous--you two are goners!"

With furrowed brows, Vyn began to twitch. This damn asshole, he thought.

Earl placed a hand upon Vyn's shoulder. "Really? An incubus? What are gonna do, suck cocks to get outta sticky situations?" He cackled. "Penetrate the hell outta people as a means of torture?"

Vyn continued to twitch, jaw clenching.

"Guess what I am," Earl smirked. "I'm a hybrid. Dragon Hybrid. Half man, half-dragon. How could an incubus possibly go up against that!"

Vyn looked at him. "So what if you're a dragon? I bet I'll still be able to fold you."

Earl scoffed. "Fool, didn't you hear me? Dragon, incubus. Incubus, dragon. A dragon would always win."

"Not if it's an asshole like you are," Von said. "In the long run, the unfair advantage is nothing. Right, Vyn?"

Vyn smirked. "Damn right."

Earl sneered at them, then edged away, slowing his pace. "You two are the biggest idiots I've ever come across." He fell behind.

Vyn and Von simply looked at each other, smirked and looked ahead. They looked ahead at the kingdom afield. The very kingdom the golden path upon which they walked was leading them.

Von was ready for a change. He took his glasses, scrutinizing the broken pair.

"What are you gonna do with that?" Vyn asked, curious.

Von tossed the glasses in the bushes.

Vyn smirked. "About damn time."

Von looked ahead. Change, he thought.

Before we get to the promised fun stuff, Von needed to address his problem first. There is some cool stuff coming up in the next chapter.
