Meeting Yotsuba

1.7k words

---

(Haku's POV)

I'm back in my fancy penthouse. I told Mei I had some stuff to take care of and split, leaving her with a quick pep talk. Honestly, I'm starting to feel a bit sorry for her – being part of a respected magician clan must be tough.

"Hell, man! My hair is completely different. Alright, J, testing the new prototype [Vibranium Slime] is a wrap."

[Congratulations, sir,]

What's up, you might wonder? Well, I'm playing around with this new prototype for changing how I look. This slime isn't actual liquid– it's more like nanotech. Right now, I've managed to tweak it to mess with how I look – a handy tool for my armor suit plans later.

So, here I am, sporting a whole new facial look and a revamped hair color for my other persona. I only need to adjust my appearance slightly for this meeting. Something that echoes the design I had when I rescued Yotsuba Maya – just changing my hair color to a nondescript gray to throw them off a bit.

The objective? Make myself look older. And even though it's a shade of gray, I think it's working pretty well.

But enough about hair, let's talk height...

I can't go around at the same height as Yuki Haku; that would just be asking for unwanted comparisons. So, I've used the magic of [Sukunahikona], which lets me tinker with my size. It's like magic Photoshop if you will.

Mask – check.

Height adjusted – check.

Gray-haired – check.

"Alright, time to roll."

Alpha is here to see me off, "I'll keep this place safe, my liege."

"Yeah, thanks, Alpha."

-Fwosh!

I'm flying solo on this one. Alpha needs to hold down the fort, and keep an eye on the progress of [Beta] and [Delta], while I'm out and about. But fret not, I'm not truly alone – Jarvis, my trusty right-hand AI, is right by my side.

Presently, I'm soaring through the skies in my latest suit, [Mark III]. Crafted from Vibranium and a marked improvement from its predecessor, this bad boy doesn't require me to shrink down and maintain a 'normal' size while staying stealthy. The clever use of Vibranium and some tech keeps me off the military radar. (A/N: It's Iron Man suit.)

Flying without magic? Courtesy of the suit's thrust technology. I mean, if you've created it, might as well feel it, right?

This is all part of my grand plan, you see. I've got to show off my tech chops, and make an impression.

Speaking of plans, the destination on today's itinerary is Kyoto. The meeting spot is at some fancy private resort owned by none other than the Yotsuba clan.

Well, I ain't scared at all, even stepping into the tiger's den.

"Hey, J, any suggestions for my grand entrance? Should I go with the classic 'Long time, no see, girl,' or hit 'em with the 'Who knew the Yotsuba was so darn cocky cause they're 'Untouchable'?' Or maybe keep it snappy with 'Let's make this quick – just stay out my house, you bitch.'?"

[I would recommend that you consider adopting a more humble approach, particularly in light of your aspiration to prevent Ragnarok and save the world. Perhaps you could consider requesting their resources to support your plan, sir.] Solid advice from Jarvis.

Maya and Miya stood gracefully in front of the Yotsuba private resort, both adorned in exquisite dresses. Maya was dressed in a captivating dark blue one-piece ballgown, accentuated by a red scarf delicately draped around her neck. Her elder twin sister, Miya, elegantly wore an A-line gown that lacked sleeves, further enhancing their mature and enchanting allure. Despite being in their late 40s, the sisters appeared remarkably youthful, easily resembling women a decade younger.

A radiant smile graced Maya's countenance, her fascination was evident as she beheld the newcomers from Yuki Enterprise. There were several aspects that intrigued her about their company. Firstly, their rapid growth seemed akin to an unstoppable force, leaving an indelible mark wherever they ventured. Secondly, within their company's division named Yuki Magitech, they had pioneered the [Sustained Gravity-Control type] magic, as well as a mind-controlled CAD, having recently achieved a net profit that successfully surpasses Yotsuba's FLT within the last month. And thirdly, they possessed an individual capable of combat.

Maya and Miya had already been briefed by Tatsuya and Hayama, and she had also witnessed a confrontation between a black knight in armor and Tatsuya. Their intention to pilfer from them no longer persisted, for their intrigue lay not in their possessions, but rather in the individual orchestrating this company.

"You're still fixated on that red scarf even after having it for 35 years."

"Oh dear~ certainly. It's because this is what 'she' gave me on that day."

Miya stole a brief glance to her side, her eyes falling upon the red scarf adorning Maya's neck – a token gifted by her heroic figure. Miya often found herself pondering the mysterious identity of the person who had become Maya's enduring object of affection. Yet, for Maya, her infatuation encompassed much more than mere romantic sentiments. Beneath the surface of her behavior, Maya incessantly contemplated the inner workings of the girl's magic, a fascination bordering on obsessive affection.

On that fateful day, when she was rescued by the Yotsuba rescue team, she emerged from the Dahan laboratory with a mix of wonder and a shiver running down her spine. The sight was haunting – shattered corpses strewn about, a colossal ice spike suspending numerous lifeless forms, the remnants of military machinery caught on its frozen edge, and a once-sturdy building reduced to ruins. Even the lush forest surrounding it had succumbed to an icy grip, despite the warmth of the summer sun. The tally of bodies and the extent of devastation left in the wake of that girl's power was incalculable.

It was on that very day that Maya's heart became ensnared by that mesmerizing magic and the individual who held the key to fulfilling her yearning for revenge on the world.

Inhale...! Exhale...! Inhale...! Exhale...!

Maya's breath came in ragged gasps as her switch turned on, her cheeks tinged with a rosy hue as she vividly recalled that scene. The memory of the chilling touch of that magic, coupled with the sensation of bloodshed from those who had inflicted suffering upon her, sent shivers down her spine. In other words, she is aroused!

'What a tease torment... To think she would leave me in such a state and vanish from the world.'

Her feelings for that enigmatic girl were a maelstrom of both resentment and adoration, a complex love-hate relationship. As a more perverted smile played across Maya's lips, she began to deeply inhale the scent of the scarf, as though attempting to inhale its essence without fuckin end!

For nearly 35 years, her heart was consumed by a relentless obsession to locate the masked girl.

Eight years after the traumatic kidnapping incident, Maya began contemplating the creation of a magician possessing power akin to the masked girl's, Then ss her engagement prior to the abduction, Maya went on to marry Saegusa Kouichi.

Naturally, an arranged marriage within the family was her destiny, given her role as the Yotsuba clan leader, necessitating the presence of a capable successor. In this loveless marriage, she embarked on a mission to conceive a child, employing the vast resources of the Yotsuba to engineer an artificially enhanced magician, one harboring the very power she coveted.

(A/N: Maya and Miya are no longer with their husband, and Saegusa Kouichi is Mei's dad.)

Her overwhelming obsession spread fear among those near her, as Maya's sanity declined, and her initial try at creating an adjusted-body son ended in failure.

In the end, it seemed like her prayers were answered with the birth of Miya's child. Yet, Maya's unquenchable desires didn't stop there. Using the information gathered from the so-called 'failed' child, she set out on a mission to bring about a second child, who would later be known as the 'Yotsuba Twins of Masterpiece.'

"Maya, let's try to behave while we're out, okay?"

Miya gave her little sister a gentle reminder, noticing that twisted side of Maya, her affection clear through her warm smile.

"But~ it's just the two of us here, right?"

"I suppose you have a point..."

Miya continued with her warm demeanor, almost signaling that it was acceptable to indulge in such peculiar behavior. Yet, she skillfully maintained a beautiful façade, concealing her true emotions.

I hated that.

Why did it have to be her?

Why?

Why!?

Miya's heart was overwhelmed with jealousy! Honestly, she had a strong sister complex!

She resented that masked 'girl' for seemingly stealing her sister's love away, nurturing a profound animosity towards Maya's enigmatic hero, surpassing any other sentiment in her world.

Certainly, she abhorred the suffering Maya endured, the trauma etched into her being. But in her heart, there was also a self-loathing, for she felt powerless when Maya was kidnapped. And so, from that crucial day onwards, a blend of her yearning to protect Maya and the intense jealousy that aimed to erase Maya's hero from existence led to the birth of that child, capable of fulfilling her most profound wishes.

Swoosh!

The distant sound like a jet caught their attention, prompting both women to look skyward. A pinprick of light grew larger as the object rapidly approached.

"Jarvis, are we getting closer?"

Haku's voice came from inside the [Mark III], his transformation clear with his hair now gray and his height increased – a result of his magic and the [Vibranium Slime].

[Yes, sir. We have reached the designated location.]

"Dammit..."

Haku began to descend, halting when he hovered just ten meters above a serene zen garden, allowing him a clear view of Maya and Miya within the confines of his helmet.

"Shit... it's really her. And is that her twin sister?" Haku pondered, watching Miya closely as she bore a striking resemblance to Miyuki. The hologram in his helmet zoomed in to get a closer look at Miya's face, and a matching image confirmed her identity.

Maya couldn't help but marvel at the spectacle, her gaze fixed on the [Mark III] soaring gracefully above the garden. "Seems like that company is harboring quite a few secrets," she mused, a dangerous glint flashing in her eyes.

"Hayama," Miya called the butler.

"Your command, my lady."

"Prepare for our esteemed guest.

---

Just to set the record straight.

Mei is Maya's daughter

Miyuki is Miya's daughter.

According to canon, Maya ended her arranged marriage with Saegusa Kouichi due to her inability to bear children. However, this situation has changed now thanks to Haku's intervention.

I understand that some of you might still be wondering if Maya is still a virgin. The answer is yes, in case you're still unsure after reading this. Both of her children were artificially conceived outside the womb. Does this detail matter? Well, I don't care, just feel free to comment.

What about Miya? In the canon, there's a mention of her using her unique magic to make Maya's traumatic experience of being raped and experimented on like a lab rat and converted this experience into data in Maya's brain, the resulted causing her losing her emotions and life force. Unfortunately, this led to Maya's death after she used it again on Tatsuya later on.

Miya didn't die though at this time because she only used this technique on Tatsuya, so she's still okay, though her emotions concerning Tatsuya have faded.

However, she still maintains her sister complex for Maya. Whether the sis-con trait in her is as real as in the story, I'm not sure, but I added it because I found it interesting, haha.
