Chapter -10 : Learning spells

"I know it's hard work but don't worry about such problems, your dad and I can use most of other magic. If you got some problem regarding other magic which can't be answered by your mother and grandmother, just come to us."

"Okay grandpa I will be sure to ask you.." he nods his head to Leon and then thought of something then said to them.

"Grandma, granny Silica once told me that she will teach me about enchantment.. can I start learning from her now that I will also be able to use magic?" He still remembered what Silica has promised him when he about two years old. After that meeting, he met Silica only few more times but he never forgotten of her promise. When he read those books from library, he has learnt how useful enchantment and runes were.

"You don't have to panic and feel uneasy, whether she will teach or not that's not a problem, if she promised that she will teach you, then she will teach. She is not the one who back off after promising something. Also you have to wait a little while because I got her letter sometime ago and come to know that she will be away from the town for a month or two because she got some important work to do. So in the mean time just focus on one thing and learn magic properly. Learning runes and enchantment is as rare as it is difficult to search for its past. Not many have talent in it and without high control with precision in magic, one can forget about learning enchantment."

"Okay then I will go back first and start with performing some low level magic. If I have any difficulty I will come to you." Ryan was experiencing horse racing in his heart at the time. He was eager to try magic from a long time and couldn't wait any longer.

"That's not a problem but only low level magic spells.. don't cause damage in the mansion otherwise I will have to give you some punishment remember that." Andrew said and agreed to Ryan, he also has experienced this and new his feelings.

"Then bye. See you all later." Saying that, Ryan got up and then left the room.

After he left, whole room fell into silence. No one spoke for a long time, everyone was thinking of many things.

"Sigh... I quit. This is the first time I have heard of someone having such status." Leon sighed after a long time and shook his head.

"You are right about that. Don't know it's good or bad for little Ryan. I worry about his future a lot. He is extraordinary from the moment he started speaking. Sometimes he do such things that it's hard to tell who is more experienced, he or me. If this goes on, it's hard to believe him making friends with the people of his age." Lamina also said what she had on her mind. She was shocked because of the things Ryan do at such a small age where other childrens are still learning to walk properly, her grandson can already fight in close combat to some extent.

"It seems, after he learn using magic and proficient in protecting himself, we should send him for adventure. When he come into contact with other people outside, is when he will truly grow up. We can't always shield him from wind and rain otherwise he will be like a flower, who won't be able to tolerate small wind pressure before felling of."

"Andrew is right, it's difficult to stay away from him but for his proper growth we must come to such conclusion."

"Let's take it slow now and face the current problems, Andrew I heard that there is large group of monsters in the forest, is that true?"

"Yes dad. It was reported by one of the woodcutter group which was ambushed by some pack of wolfs. It was their luck that they escaped from them. I have sent some soldiers to confirm the new. If it's true than we again have to take action." They all decided to think about Ryan's future slowly and started sharing some official information inbetween themselves.

Back in the room, Ryan was dancing from excitement at the time. Finally he could start learning magic which he wished for such a long time.

'High- level lightning resistance....damn must be the result of that thunder. If possible I don't want to experience that ever again.' Remembering that terrifying thunder he still had some lingering fear from thinking of it.

"Let's see what I can learn from this book of Low-level fire spells... Since grandpa told me to show fire magic and space-dimension magic outside, it will be great if I can perform some good magic." He took out a book from the books present in his room. Over time, Ryan has took many books from library to his room. Because of his mistakes of reading till late night, in these period of time, he was punished quiet a few time by Jenny.

Today he decided to only learn magic rather than going to the garden to learn from Paul and asked one of the maids to inform this to him.

"Fire spark : To form a fire spark, you have to imagine a fire forming into a small burning spark forming in front of you while you supply it with your own magic and say fire spark while concentrating, the brighter you imagine it the more it will consume mana and glow it will have, the more mana it will use. Please pay attention to the things near you. Don't let the spark touch the things that can easily catch fire. If you use this magic, it can only be around you to some distance so if caught fire on something then best of luck.." 'is this really description or what? They are just scarring the reader.' he thought.

'Easy enough for the low level magic... Imagination is the best thing I am actually good at. Let's give it a try.' he came to the middle of the room away from other things, that can catch fire. He was not really afraid of spreading fire, he just wanted to try conjuring it here.

"Fire spark" Ryan put his hand in front of him and focused on imagining a little spark of fire burning in front of him...after some time he felt a comfortable heat moving from his heart towards the palm of his hand.. then a glow appeared on his palm.. after that a small orb formed above his palm and floated in the air...

"Success... hehehe hahaha...this is not that difficult to do.. if I practice for some time then I can directly make this fire spark in no time. I just have to remember how it works so that I won't have to imagine it continually and waste time on it.." Ryan continued to perform same magic for a long time. He tried forming more than one spark, supplied them with high magic power and saw light orange spark turning blue.. He also made it rotate around him with it he also got to know that his own magic won't hurt him..

Almost three hours passed by, Ryan continued this but he didn't feel any fatigue because of unknown amount of magic value..

After he became proficient in it he decided to eat first and rest for some time... although he didn't feel physically fatigued but mentally was a different story...

He, these time chose water magic... Fire spark was already good enough to use as low level magic but other fire magic can't be used in his room so he chose water magic as not to harm his room..

"Water bubble: Imagine a ball of water forming and getting burst when it hit something. Water bubble is attack type spell, the more you put mana into it the more power it has when it burst. This spell can be high mana consuming, don't use too much as to avoid getting unconscious."

"Mana isn't a problem at all but the more mana put into forming a bubble the more powerful the attack is when burst... doesn't this mean that I can cause mass destruction if I want... No,no I don't want to become the one who cause disaster. If possible I will use this in the future to fight with demon and monsters of high level.." Ryan imagined himself forming a big bubble and dropping it on a town, when he imagined the results of that he quickly chose to forget about such thoughts.

"Let's start practicing this spell in the bathing place, otherwise if I practice here it will be a mess to clean."
