"Stop looking at me like that…" Mu Lin groaned weakly.
Yang Wei raised his eyebrows in surprise, "Hm? What did I do?" he asked softly.
"You're looking at me weirdly again, like you enjoy seeing me sick and vulnerable," she said with a small frown.
Yang Wei stayed silent because, in a way, she was right.
Mu Lin's current condition had an unexpected charm. Her face was slightly flushed from the fever, with delicate beads of sweat on her forehead. Her usually bright, sparkling brown eyes looked dull and teary, adding a touch of vulnerability. She was bundled up in cozy blankets, peeking out with a soft, pained expression.
