Chapter 16

　　The crisp sound of a slap rang out.

　　Shirley looked at Randall in surprise because he had just slapped Hubert in anger.

　　"Randall! You piece of trash! How dare you!" Hubert had just been slapped by Stanley in the office, and now he was slapped by Randall in public. He was so exasperated that he wanted to pounce on Randall.

　　"Enough!" Stanley roared. He glared at Hubert and said, "What are you saying? Stop slandering Shirley!"

　　Hubert did not dare to voice his anger and irritate Stanley anymore, because he knew that the cooperation with the Eric Group and invitation to the National Technology Summit were much more important than him.

　　Stanley sighed. He looked at Shirley and said, "Shirley, go back with me."

　　Shirley did not know what had happened just now, but from Stanley's and Hubert's attitudes, she knew that there should be some change in the invitation to the National Technology Summit.

　　So she nodded and followed Stanley back to the banquet hall with Randall.
