After lunch, Simeon makes me sit through his video call with the wedding planner as he organizes my wedding. The two of them discuss for ages, neither asking for my opinion.
On the bright side, Deliah is with us too, and she doesn't look like she's enjoying this call any more than I am—well, if that can be considered a bright side. I bet this whole thing is bringing up memories. If he's this invested in a wedding that's got nothing to do with him, I can't imagine what kind of nightmare Deliah was in for.
She takes a break to bring us tea and I excuse myself as well, following her to the kitchen.
I pour myself a glass of water and drink all of it in a few large swigs, sighing as I put the cup on the counter. "Weddings. So overwhelming."
