Mafia's Young Master [BL]

"Yao Fang won't be useful until he learns to be mature." Maybe, Yao Fang would never be useful. Instead of fighting an important war for C City's greatest treasure, Chen Dulan is ordered to protect the bratty, spoiled Young Master, Yao Fang. This was supposed to be an easy job for the experienced assassin. Except, the Young Master would ask for much more than he could afford to offer.

Chapter 11

Yao Fang had met Feng Huali by complete accident. He hadn't thought about having a woman by his side before he'd seen her. It helped that her personality was like his mother's, calm and mature.

The first time he had stared at her too long, her response had been like, "The right thing would be... to ask for my number, and then for a coffee sometime." And she had smiled, right after teaching him exactly what she wanted.

She hadn't swooned over him at first sight, and yet she didn't ignore him. It was like she wanted him but at the same time wasn't desperate. She seemed like a girl who wouldn't cry if he left her but would be hurt deeply, and Yao Fang had never seen someone like that.

Thoughts dissipated into vapour when Feng Huali kissed him again. Her hand had slipped under his collar, on his nape and the other hand cupped his cheek. His own hands didn't know where to be placed, were resting behind his back.

This was nothing out of place, they had done so before. But never in her room, or on her bed or in silent privacy. No one was keeping an eye on him and that made him ecstatic. Was Chen Dulan hiding somewhere outside and watching? Let him watch like a guard dog, let him watch and gape every time they made a noise. He would cry bitterly with jealousy, maybe he'd left behind his girlfriend in C City? No, he looked like too much of a virgin to have a girlfriend.

"Yao Fang, don't dream away." She whispered and then nibbled on his earlobe. "And don't you dare think of other people, isn't sister right here with you?" How she had read his mind, he had no idea, he was too ecstatic to think.

And a few minutes later, they had stopped. He may have been wishing to go all the way, but if she didn't insist for it, Yao Fang really wasn't being bold enough. He didn't get any clear signals from her either, so the best idea for him would be to get home fast. He had another trouble building down somewhere.

He shouted some greeting and walked outside, for which she called him cute.

The wind was cold and heavy, so he thought of buying a warm coffee from the vending machine. His mood was significantly better, and that meant something had to ruin it. There on a bench, sleeping or passed out, he wasn't sure, was Chen Dulan. The reason behind his previous annoyance had actually followed him there.

"Did you actually follow me here too?!" He shoved Chen Dulan's shoulder, surprising himself at how weakly it landed, just like a slight touch. Maybe the clear idea that Chen Dulan wouldn't fight back made him reconsider his movements. Or maybe because the boy still looked too pale and cold.

A light groan left Chen Dulan, some murmur that sounded the same as last time. "Don't go..." Yao Fang felt a pang of curiosity at whom he might be calling for. Did he even have family? He knew nothing about Chen Dulan, and yet every aspect of his life was put on display to this stranger. "Wake up if you're conscious."

"You're not... staying the night?" He had asked rubbing his eyes.

"No. I am heading back, so don't be a burden. Why the hell would you wait outside in the cold? You like being pathetic all the time?"

"You didn't have to bother with me." He tried to retort.

"And you'd sleep here all night?" Yao Fang tried to check his temperature again, and Chen Dulan flinched back. "Young Master, what are you doing?" Right, why was he trying to babysit him? He'd done the bare minimum by waking him up.

"Say... does Young Master come to his girlfriend's house a lot?" He had asked looking away. That was none of Chen Dulan's business though. "It's not my place to say but do you care for her? Because if someone knows your girlfriend lives here and tries to harm her, I don't think you'd like that."

"I hadn't thought that before." He admitted.

"You should come here with your face covered." Chen Dulan shrugged. "I don't think many people know that you're actually from MinYao, they all just pick on you to check if the rumors are true. And every time you fight them away, you just make it more obvious that you're not from MinYao."

"Chen Dulan, you really dare to insult me too often nowadays?"

"Young Master must not forget, MinYao works in silence. We don't need to make a loud statement for our presence to be felt. All these students in your class have no clue they are sitting with a murderer, that is MinYao."

"Why are you telling me all this?" What Chen Dulan said made sense, maybe that was why he was so quiet and sneaky? That his only priority was to not gain attention. What he didn't know was why he was receiving advice from the guy.

"When the time comes, I'd only want you to be a good superior. I don't know about your father's opinion, but I think Young Master should fill up his space in MinYao soon." And wasn't that what he had wanted too.
