"Angelo, what is the reason for you calling me? I came as quickly as I received your call." Diana said as she walked into Angelo's office and shut the door behind her. Not long after he had left the apartment, Angelo called Diana and asked for her to come to his office, and now here she was standing in front of him.
Angelo looked up from his desk, his face red and his eyes puffy, as though he had been crying for some time. The pure sight of seeing Angelo this broken down burned a hole in the heart of Diana; she could not bear to see him in such a state.
"Oh! Diana, my apologies; I did not hear you coming in," Angelo said as he stood up from his office chair, walked around his office desk, and stood a few feet from Diana.
Diana's instinct instructed her to get closer to him, but she stopped herself, not knowing whether Angelo had fully forgiven her for stepping out of the friend zone.
