Let's be friends...

She was fidgeting with her fingers in nervousness when she finally heard the door opening with a click sound and Ethan entered with his eyes still on his phone..

"Kathy, I need to-----"

His words didn't get the chance anymore to come out of his mouth as his voice took a pause at that immediate moment when his eyes fell on Katherine, sitting on their bed, looking extremely sexy with a hint of innocence..

His eyes raked over her body shamelessly, making Katherine blush profusely.

After checking her out for a whole one minute, Ethan finally averted her eyes again towards her face, only to notice her cheeks turning completely red because of blushing too much.

Without saying anything, Ethan walked towards her with steady steps and took a seat beside her, on the bed.

His eyes travelled towards her pink lips which was looking plump as if they were begging to be kissed by him..

Keeping the phone aside, Ethan cupped her face softly and caressed her cheeks in a tremendously sensuous way.

His breath was fanning over her face, making the few strands of her hair dance freely over either side of her soft cheeks..

With his index finger under her chin, Ethan tilted her head up and made her look at his deep pool of eyes.

Katherine stared at her husband with a little bit hesitation, lots of shyness and a sparkle of excitement in her eyes which didn't go unnoticed by Ethan.

Feeling his intense gaze on her, Katherine couldn't stop herself from licking her lips unknowingly which gave birth to a rush of desire inside Ethan.

Not able to suppress his urge to kiss those plump and soft lips of hers, Ethan dived right onto those pink petals of hers, kissing her softly at first.

Although shy, Katherine too kissed him back as she felt a strange kind of emotion burning inside her heart, wanting to feel her husband's presence near her..

The kiss was sweet and gentle with Ethan sucking her lips softly while Katherine copying his every steps.

One of Ethan's hands glided behind to have a good grip on her neck to get a better angle, while his other hand smoothly wrapped around her tiny waist..

Katherine too slowly encircled her arms around Ethan's neck, giving him the signal of getting accepted by her.

This made Ethan a little more confident as the hand on his waist, pinched her soft flesh slightly, enough for Kathrine to gasp out a moan..

"Uhmmmmm...."

Taking the chance, Ethan let his tongue enter her mouth as he started tasting each corner of her mouth with too much passion.

Katherine felt herself flying high in the sky with the new feeling of fulfilment inside her hear.

She had never felt something so strong yet pious like this which made her follow her husband again as she involved her tongue in kissing him..

They were sucking each other's lips, letting their tongues entangle like moth sucking honey from a flower and licking the edge of their lips while teasing them with their teeth..

Both of them had forgotten everything around them and kept kissing each other with all the intensity they have..

It was when Ethan felt Katherine getting out of breath, then only he pulled his lips away from hers.

He pressed his forehead onto hers while their noses were brushing along while panting heavily for breath.

Katherine had her eyes closed while Ethan was staring at her beautiful face with lots of emotions in his eyes.

Feeling his gaze on her, she finally opened her eyes as they got indulged into an intense eye-lock.

"Kathy…." Ethan whispered softly on her lips.

"Hmmm?" Katherine just hummed in response as she didn't have the power to speak anything.

Checking over her appearance once again, Ethan stared deeply into her eyes and muttered while tucking few of her strands behind her ear, "I know that you're not comfortable with all of this.."

Katherine's eyebrows furrowed together as if trying to decipher what he actually was trying to say.

As per her knowledge, she hadn't shown any kind of reluctance in kissing him. In fact, not only she had tried to cope up with him but also enjoyed herself a lot while kissing her dear husband.

"But I enjoyed kissing you." These words involuntarily made their way out of her mouth, much to Kathryn shock as she stared at him with widened eyes.

Ethan chuckled at her cute expression and mumbled, "I know that.. And trust me when I say that I also loved kissing you. But this is not the actual point here. I was talking about something else.."

Katherine's frown deepened as she asked questioningly, "Something else? But what?"

Heaving a big sigh, Ethan rubbed the corner of her soft lips with his thumb and confessed, "Both you and I have met only twice before our wedding. Though we had quite a good conversation between us both of the time, but it's still not enough..

We still don't know much about each other. Yeah.. It's true that we've played twenty questions on our first date and become aware of what we both like or dislike in real life. But what we still not able to know is, what kind of a person we actually are..

It needs time to understand your better half which we didn't get much before getting married. But now we can start from the beginning. I even know that you are not comfortable in wearing this silk gown in front of me. Then how will you be able to give yourself to me?"

Katherine knew that whatever Ethan was saying was absolutely right. Especially his last words were so true that she couldn't herself from admiring the man in front of her.

"But don't all husband expect this from their wives on their first night?" Katherine asked in a low whisper, making Ethan smile at her innocence.

"Maybe they do.. But I'm not like them. I know we both need some time to get completely comfortable with each other and all the other things can happen later..

Marriage is not only about sharing physical relationship; but also to share all the happiness, sorrow, ups and down of life with your partner. And for that, we first need to become friends..

If we can't build up the friendship between us, then we won't be able respect or trust each other. After we become enough frank with each other to disclose every secrets of our lives, then we can definitely turn into lovers someday. So let's just start with being friends… Alright?" Ethan spoke the last sentence by extending his hand for a handshake.

Katherine smiled at him and shook his hand with here while saying, "Yes.. Let's be friends first."

Ethan too smiled and said while getting up from the bed, "You sleep on the bed then. I'll take the couch."

Taking the pillow from the bed, he was about to move towards the couch when he felt a sudden tug on his wrist..

"Don't…"
