Chapter 7: Completing Mission

At nightfall, Chen Fu woke up. He had unknowingly dozed off after Xun'er left.

Jumping down the bed, he stretched his body and discovered that most of his injured had already healed completely and he was full of energy. Xun'er fed him so many high-tier pills; it was a natural result.

He then checked the remaining time within which he has to complete the current mission.

He had less than fourteen hours.

'Xun'er is out of bounds right now… so I can only rely on Zi Yan to get me through this hurdle.' He didn't know how she'd react, but he had to try.

A dainty figure covered with the quilt was lying on the bed motionlessly. It appeared as if the person was fast asleep, but from her rapid heartbeat, Chen Fu could tell that she was awake for sure.

Chen Fu closed the door and then stepped inside, slowly walking closer to the bed. Arriving by the bedside, he took a deep look at Zi Yan, then climbed on the bed, and entered the quilt alongside Zi Yan.

A fresh fragrance entered his nose as he slowly wiggled closer to her back. Gritting his teeth, he extended his hand and put it on her slim and warm waist.

"Zi Yan, are you awake?"

The simple touch sent a tremor down Zi Yan's body, her heartbeat sped up further and her body began heating up.

Feeling no resistance, Chen Fu secretly heaved a sigh of relief. He didn't know what he would do if she rejected him.
