Chapter 3: Backstory

Watching the united group moving towards them, the purple-haired girl held Chen Fu subconsciously, as if he was her only salvation. Her face was pressed tightly against his chest as she glanced at Chen Fu's handsome visage in wonder and intoxication.

'Would he be able to deal with all of them?'

Chen Fu was thinking about how he should fight them. He was confident in defeating them with Flame Explosion but a part of him wanted to use them as flesh targets to test out his other combat abilities. But in the end, he decided against it.

'Forget it, although I healed quite a bit, the loss in the blood is making me dizzy. It's better to end this quickly.'

After coming to a decision, he didn't delay further. He raised his hand and a dozen flames appeared in front of him. Seeing this, the group quickly adopted a defensive stance. They had all seen how powerful it was, so they didn't dare underestimate the simple flame anymore.

"Don't group up, scatter around! He can't fight us all at the same time!" The fatty shouted quickly.

The group followed his orders and they scattered around.

"Heh! How would you deal with us now? Two hands can't win against a dozen!"

"Dumb tricks!" Chen Fu sneered in disdain and the flames around him shot out in a frenzied manner, their speed was much faster.

"Boom!"

"Boom!"

"Boom!"

"Aahhhh!"

"Fuck! Run for it!"

Without any exception, all of them were bombarded with flame explosions one after another.

Seeing the situation, the fatty turned around to run without any delay, but the flames were much faster. Three flames surrounded him from all directions and exploded. The explosion directly blasted his upper body, leaving only the lower one. It twitched for some time before the scene went silent.

The purple-haired girl watched all of this with wide eyes. She couldn't fathom how the man she was embracing became so powerful all of a sudden. What perplexed her even further was that she couldn't feel a sliver of Dou Qi from his body as he attacked. How was he even doing this? In that instant, the man became a mystery and that mystery posed a fatal attraction to her.

"Are you alright?" Chen Fu asked with a faint smile. But in reality, he was shaken inside. After all, this was his first time killing someone and he killed over a dozen people.

"Hum." The purple-haired girl nodded with stars in her eyes. It was then she noticed a certain hot rod-like thing pressed against her abdomen. Curious, she glanced down to find out what that was.

"Ah!" As soon as she saw the outline of 'that' over Chen Fu's outfit, she yelped and jumped out of his embrace while blushing furiously.

"This… I can explain." Chen Fu was also embarrassed but he couldn't blamed. Who would remain calm after hugging such beauty for a long time?

(Zi Yan here is a little taller and mature than her child version)

"I-its fine. Thanks for saving me. Without you, I would have been humiliated today." As her snow-white cheeks burned in red color, she said softly.

"You don't need to thank me. Those people were worse than animals, I did the natural thing." Chen Fu replied with a smile.

"By the way, what's your name?" He suddenly asked. He has some grasp of his situation and knew what was happening.

Somehow, he has crossed to the world of Battle Through The Heavens and he has to finish a certain mission within 20 years. He doesn't know how or why it happened, and it seems like he won't know the reason anytime soon.

Aside from that, a stream of memories was slowly being injected into his mind as they talked. These were the memories of his predecessor. What was shocking was that even his predecessor was a reincarnator who knew the whole plot of the story.

Thanks to that, he was naturally very talented, even more than Xiao Yan. At the age of ten, he became a Dou Practitioner; at thirteen, he became a Dou Master and at fourteen and a half, he was a 5-Star Dou Master.

Chen Fu didn't care about anything. Fuelled with rage for vengeance, he had already become a cultivation maniac.

Chen Fu sighed inwardly as those memories cleared up. Even though his predecessor was a reincarnate, he wasn't the protagonist. In the end, he died with unwillingness, and he, the new Chen Fu occupied the body.
