Chapter 29 Beast God

Each of the sword styles, The Sword God and Beast God all had different techniques under them, I didn't know how many techniques under the Sword God my dad had learned but I'm sure it's all of them.

I stood in front of Lilith as I clenched my wooden sword tightly and took a deep breath, she took a stance and waited for me to strike, she was that confident.

"Why aren't you attacking?" I asked.

"You should attack, I'm going to defend" Lilith muttered.

"If you let me win, I'm going to be angry, so attack" I spoke, she was going to be on the defensive so it wasn't going to be a duel, I knew she was stronger than me but still.

"I should attack?" Lilith asked.

"Yes"

"Okay then, I'm going to attack you once with my top speed and strength, if you can block my attack, then we'll continue the duel, do you agree?"

"Okay then" I muttered pouring my Mana into my sword and I also shrouded my entire body with Mana as I took a stance.

Lilith moved backward creating more space between us, and then she gripped the hilt of her wooden sword tightly and spoke, "Here I come"

As soon as I heard that word, Lilith was in front of me, I'd never been so surprised in my entire life, my hands moved on reflex as I raised my sword upward and it collided with Lilith's sword.

*BOOM!!*

As soon as our swords collided I was sent flying and landed with a loud thud, the strength behind her attack was so much that I couldn't take it while standing on my feet.

"Arrgh..." I held my head as I stood up from the ground and I saw a broken sword in Lilith's hand.

"I hate magic" Lilith snorted as I looked at my hand and my wooden sword was still intact, the wooden sword couldn't withstand the attack but since mine was coated with Mana it was safe.

"I win" Lilith spoke.

"Huh! But I blocked your attack, even though I couldn't stay on my feet, I still blocked it" I replied.

"A straight-on attack with a little lag, if I had hit you with my wooden sword, you'd have a broken bone, and besides this is training, if it was real I wouldn't attack like that, and I didn't use any techniques" 

"Techniques...wait you know some of the techniques under the Beast God?" I quickly asked.

"Yes, I know three" Lilith answered.

"Huh!! Wait...no one trained you, how did you learn them?"

"My father created a book detailing all the Beast God techniques he knows, I learned from the book, why are you interested, you can't use any of the Beast God techniques" Lilith spoke. 

"I know I can't but can you show me one, show me the strongest one you have" 

"Really, are you afraid of coming across Beastkin, why would you want to know about the Beast God" Lilith spoke while moving away from me.

"No, I'm just curious" I muttered as she moved quite far from me, even farther than when we dueled.

As soon as she was some distance away she placed her broken wooden sword in her mouth and was on all fours, her tail stood up straight and I could see her fangs holding onto the sword.

I won't lie I'm a little afraid, not because she's going to kill me but because of the insane amount of power radiating from her body, my hands held her sword and I turned it towards her as I took a deep breath.

This was a time to test myself if I could stop her attack, she stood on all fours as power was overflowing from her body causing goosebumps on my skin then a wind blew past her.

'If her technique takes this long then it won't be useful in...' I stood as a hand touched me and I turned around and Lilith was behind me with a smile on her face.

"I was waiting to see when you would figure it out, when I showed this technique to your dad, he caught me before I could attack him" Lilith spoke.

"What!!" I shouted as I moved away from her, then I turned around and the Lilith I was seeing on the ground was gone, "What happened?"

"It's a technique where you release power to draw your opponent's attention towards yourself and then you dash away fast enough that your opponent doesn't see you, instead he sees a mirage of yourself and you take him out from behind, I think that's all" Lilith spoke.

"A mirage, how can someone move so fast that you see a mirage, isn't that...wait, can I a technique like this" I muttered.

"How can you copy a Beast God technique when you're not a beast" Lilith spoke.

"You're right, there's no merit in copying a technique I can't use, let's duel again, this time you'll be on the defensive and I'll attack" 

"Okay, I should get a new sword" Lilith muttered as she went to get a new wooden sword.

'If my dad is stronger than Lilith and was able to stop this insane technique, then he's just holding back with me, I knew he was much stronger but I didn't know he was that strong, I need to start increasing my abilities'
