The branches of trees make strange shadows on the ground that look like they will come alive at any moment. Ahhhh! An intense pain torn from the depths of the forest. all the residing creatures hesitate to even a lift foot in that direction. The aura was too intense, and terrifying at the same time but all of them, it made them kneel on the muddy soil and kowtow on the ground. the presence of itself was extremely powerful they had never seen something like this in centuries.
Majestic Lycan king!
She found herself staring at a beautiful lake, its water glistening in the moonlight, enticing anyone to dive deep into its depths.
The occasional howling of the wolf and chirping of birds were just to her liking. But wait a minute, why was the wolf's howling so close to her?
She roamed her eyes around, only to find herself deep in the forest, far from the club. No wonder this beautiful wolf approached her.
When she came here, she didn't remember anything; she was probably lost in her memories.
Seeing her in a daze, the wolf growled in a low tone to get her attention back to him. He wore a dissatisfied expression on his face.
Leigh snapped out of her thoughts and looked at the dissatisfied wolf. The angry look on his face was just too cute. She couldn't stop herself from squeezing his cheeks. Instead of getting angry, the wolf only got closer to her and rubbed his fluffy head on her stomach.
"Stop doing it, it tickles. Don't act like a pup; you're a grown wolf. It's enough, I have to go back. I have been far from the club for almost 3 hours; they would be worrying about me," she said while looking at her wristwatch. And she pushed his fluffy head away as he kept rubbing her.
With a goodbye, she turned around to walk back towards the club. It would almost take her an hour to reach there by foot.
In the shadows, far from them, two brown and grey wolves were hiding.
They wore dumbfounded expressions that looked comical on their faces. They couldn't believe that their mighty Lykan king was behaving like a puppy in front of a human girl.
"What's with his small size? Why does he look so small? Where did our mighty and dangerous lycan king go? Was he an imposter? That's why he was not able to fully copy him. But the aura was still the same," they wondered.
They had followed him when he suddenly decided to disappear. Today was a full moon; they could not risk the safety of their king. Even if he was powerful, every werewolf became weak on the day of the full moon if they had not found their mate. So all the unmated wolves ran widely in the forest with their group to distract themselves from the pain consuming them slowly.
Here, all of them were consumed with worry, but he seemed to be quite enjoying himself. They were afraid that he would attack the human girl in his haze.
But the scene was far different from their imagination. He started licking the girl's hand and even cooed when she petted him on the head. That sound made them cringe.
"What's all with licking and rubbing? Why was he behaving like a golden retriever? Did the human girl fascinate him that much?" they wondered with bewilderment. Their shock was written on their faces.
"Oh! My God!" another wolf shouted, his eyes becoming so big they could fall out at any time.
The two wolves who were previously hiding looked toward the voice, finding a new companion who was trying to hide himself also. He was almost successful in hiding his presence if he had not opened his mouth.
The third wolf also sensed them; he could feel their burning gaze on him. He smiled awkwardly, which looked crooked.
He shuddered at their intense gaze. The two wolves were second and third in command. He was in a much lower position than them. But still, they were all brothers. That's why he was still sitting there, peacefully enjoying the show.
Suddenly, the trio also found pairs of sharp eyes on the opposite side of the bushes. It was also a pair of wolf eyes. The pairs of eyes blinked rapidly, as if they wanted to say they were innocent, just like all of them.
They roamed their eyes everywhere and found several pairs of eyes blinking in the night. They couldn't stop the twitching of their lips.
They realized they were not the only ones peeking at their king. Their entire squadron was hiding in the place, masking their scent perfectly.
If they were not busy peeking, they would have already found it, but alas...
It seemed everyone had the same thoughts in their minds.
When everyone's attention shifted again to their king, they found that the human girl had started walking, and their mighty king was following her from behind, wagging his tail in the air like a happy puppy.
They suddenly wanted to poke their eyes. They couldn't digest it anymore.
As Leigh was walking, she still felt a longing gaze on her back and turned towards it.
The big wolf was still following her. She couldn't believe he was still here.
With a sigh, she walked towards him and gently patted his head. "Be a good boy. You will be in danger if you cross the forest. Don't follow me. This place is safe for you; don't wander out."
But he was still following her like a lost puppy.
She said with a pout, "Stay here. If you want, I will come here again to meet you."
The wolf's green eyes brightened, and he nodded quickly before running away into the forest again.
Leigh wore an amused smile. "What a clever wolf," she thought as she started heading towards her destination.
Near the lake,
The wolf stopped by the lakeside, and he started glowing, his size becoming bigger, no longer a regular wild wolf. The aura around him burst with powerful strength. The cute wolf was nowhere to be seen. Only remained a majestic wolf with sharp, glinting green eyes. His gaze was predatory. When his gaze landed on the hiding wolves, they all shivered simultaneously.
The sound of gulping could be heard perfectly. One by one, all of them started to come from their hiding spots with shivering legs.
