Listening to Mr. Arthur's maddening laugh, Leigh was extremely disgusted to her bones. It made her sick to the core, and she felt like she wanted to puke whatever she had eaten for lunch.
She was speechless with this old man's egotistic words. Doesn't he read books? "Once bitten, twice shy" - she thought, this dialogue was quite famous. He already got a chance to destroy her family once, but that doesn't mean he can destroy it again. What an overconfident old man, she murmured while rolling her eyes.
Her phone screen lit up! There was a notification from him. She checked the message. He said, "Darling, spade, your work is done. No one can touch the news without my permission, let alone remove it. Until they hire someone more capable than me. And you know if I am second, then no one is first in the world," he said with evil laughing emojis.

She was really speechless after reading his long message. Really, the man had no limit of narcissism.
Another message from him popped up on her screen.
"If you have another work for me, please feel free to contact me." The message was attached with a bank account number.
Leigh couldn't stop her lips from twitching. The words of appreciation that came to her tip, she swallowed them back after seeing his message.
With just an "Okay!" she replied to him and switched off her phone.

Leigh quietly walked in the parking lot of her apartment. Because of the workload in her company, she was already very late. The working hour counts only till 6:00 PM. But because of all meetings, she was held back in the company until 9:00 PM.
Her high heels softly clicked on the floor, making a strange noise. The parking lot was eerily silent today.
The lights around her started flickering one by one, creating a horror atmosphere. Leigh tightly clenched her purse and stopped in her tracks.
She knew someone had been following her for a long time. But she really suspected why someone was even following her here; she was here with a new identity. It was impossible to recognize her in this getup, she thought and touched her face gently.
Suddenly, all lights from the parking lot turned off, turning it into complete darkness that she could not even see her hands.
She regretted not carrying any weapon with her. In the rush of morning and excitement of Miller Corporation, she forgot all her weapons on the table.
Leigh's body straightened up after hearing not one but three pairs of footsteps.
With a resolute mind, she tightened her fist and landed a powerful punch toward the person who was closest to her.
But alas, it missed and punched the air. The man opposite her had skillfully dodged her punch, showing his close combat skills that were not inferior to hers.
She sensed a kick that was aiming at her knee, probably to knock her down. With a swift move, she bent her knees at an awkward angle to safeguard herself from his deadly kick and with her other leg, she confined his incoming leg.
With a powerful move, she lifted his entire body in the air and slammed it hard on the ground, locking his hand behind his back.
"What is your motive? State it now," she said in a chilling voice that could send shivers down anyone's spine. Her personality was far different from the morning.
But wait a minute. Why did the body seem like that of a female? Is her attacker a skilled lady?
The said man... no, the said woman, in her grasp, groaned in pain. "Can you let me go now? It's fucking hurting like hell."
"Fine! I lose. Please come out now," she shouted in the dark.
Leigh looked at her attacker as if she had grown two horns on her head. What is she even talking about? Why can't I understand her? Wait, her voice seems familiar.
"Diamond, you should join TV dramas. You will be a hit there," Ace said loudly.
"She will be even more of a hit in opera shows," Jack said sarcastically.
Leigh was dumbfounded after seeing all of them here.
"Wait... Wait... What are you all doing here? I can understand about Jake, but you, Ace, and Diamond, what the hell are you doing here? Aren't you overseas? Why didn't you inform me about your arrival?" Leigh said with a dumbfounded expression and demanded an explanation from them.
"You didn't tell us you were going to your home country and secretly ran away with Jack. If I hadn't found out from Ace, I really thought you two had gone on vacation without me," Diamond said with a pout, her pretty face marked with lines.
Leigh face-palmed herself but not forgetting to ask, "Why did you suddenly attack me here?"
"I wanted to test your abilities to make sure you weren't slacking off here," Diamond said with a grin.
"I think you tested me quite well. So, how was my performance?" Leigh teased her.
As if remembering all her discomforts, Diamond started wailing again. "Ouch, don't touch me there. Was your arm made from steel? You almost crippled me."
She slapped Ace's head and said, "Why are you not going to find an ointment for me?"
Ace rubbed his head and looked at Leigh with big round eyes, like a puppy who had gone through the injustice of the world.
