Third-person POV

"I'm sorry master, please forgive me," the maid whimpered on the floor where she had spilled the juice. The tiny pieces of glass cuts through her knees but she didn't bother as the only thing she did was to fear for her dear life.

She pleaded with tears streaming down her face, but Drake was no longer listening as he grabbed the poor girl by her neck his eyes becoming darker and his hands becoming as cold as ice.

"I.despise.clumsy.people," Drake growled pressing the girl's neck even more.

The maid's eyes were bulging out of their sockets as she tried to scratch the hands of Drake from her neck while trying her hardest not to give in to the darkness that threatened to envelop her visions as her whole life flashed before her eyes.

"Drake please calm down, it's just a juice it didn't even ruin my clothe," Jade's lush voice pleaded and tried to loosen his tight grip on the poor maid's neck before he kills her.

Jade had seen him mad before and she knew he was unstoppable whenever he was completely furious and that made her fear for the girl's life, but she still tried to get through to him.

Jade was the only person who could make him calm down whenever he was mad and out of control, she was like his safety button, but she was also the one person who he could outrightly kill anyone who tries to lay a finger on her.

Drake wasn't furious because the maid spilled the drink on him, he was furious because he saw the juice on Jade's body.

"Dee, please calm down," Jade tried again and held his hands until she start to feel his muscles relaxing under her little frail hands.

His eyes that had turned a dark shade of blue turned back to their normal colour of ice, and his freezing hands loosened it's hold on the maid's neck making her fall to the floor and start to cough out profusely.

The whole place started to become a little less cold as Drake let out slow breaths that helped calm him down a bit.

The maid has long scurried out of the living room in fear that he might become filled with rage again and grab her like he just did.

Other maids that were working around the sitting room were all too scared to move from where they stood as they all waited and watched the scene unfold before their eyes in a completely frozen spot.

No one dared to move for fear that they were going to share the same faith as their co-worker.

Jade didn't look too surprised by the sudden cold and the lack of it because she knew what happens whenever Drake was out of control.

"Let's get your clothes changed shall we," Jade said and tried to pull him out of the living so the other maids could come to clean the mess from the floor.

However, Drake didn't bulge for a while and Jade tried to pull his arm, but her frail frame could barely withstand the weight of his hands let alone be able to make him move from where he was standing.

After a couple of attempts, he finally moved and they both went to his room where she helped him get out of his stained suit before he went into his bathroom to take off the remaining clothes.

Jade also left the room to find another bathroom where she could clean her clothes before the juice stain dries off.

Jade was a girl with delicate exquisite features and quite gorgeous facial features that cause people to always stare and turn in her direction where ever she went.

Although she had a small frame, her beauty was not hidden by her small frame.

She was dressed in a floral printed summer dress that was a little above her ankle.

Jade was the only person who had known Drake longer than anyone around him. She knows the secrets that no one else knew about Drake, and she loved him more than anyone Drake has ever known.

Her mind kept thinking about the scene that occurred only a couple of minutes ago and she tried to think of ways to get the other maids not to spread the news about it while she walked through the hallways to find a bathroom.

She could have entered one of the many empty rooms to use the bathrooms, but she decided to use the one on the hallways instead.

When she found the bathroom she went in and got a few paper towels and tried to clean off the stain from her pink floral dress.

After a few attempts, she finally got the stain off her dress and she dumped the used paper towel at the wastebasket before coming to the sink to wash her hands.

She washed her hands and stared at her reflection in the mirror in front of her for a while, her luminous reddish-brown hair making her face even more exquisite, and she couldn't help but wonder to herself, what she could do to help out the only person who she had relied on her whole life.

"I think I should start with the workers," she spoke to her reflection in the mirror, and nodded before walking out of the bathroom.

She decided to go check up on the poor maid who almost lost her life a couple of minutes ago to see if she was alright before she would address the other maids who had been watching.

Jade knew she had to do this although she didn't know how to convince them to keep shot.

She reached the chamber that was meant for the maids in the house and knocked on one of the doors although she wasn't sure which room the girl was staying in, and when she received no response she tried on the other doors until she found the room with the maid inside.

She found the girl seated in front of a dressing mirror, with her hands on her bruised neck, which looked so much like frostbites and tears threatening to spill from the girl's eyes.

"Are you okay? I'm sorry you had to go through that," Jade spoke from the door and when the girl turned to see who was speaking she quickly got up from where she was seated and stared at her feet without speaking.

Jade moved closer to the girl and tried to examine the bruises from a closer distance and when she saw the bruises her shoulders slumped even more.

Jade was this person who has a lot of compassion for people although that compassion gets taken for granted most of the times, but she still kept it going.

"I'm sorry," she apologized even more. "Where is the first aid kit?" Jade asked, she wanted to help the girl apply a little ointment that might help ease the pain.

"It's okay Ma'am, you don't have to I won't tell anyone if that's what you're worried about, it's part of the contract we signed," The maid spoke softly and that made confused look dawn on Jade's face.

"What do you mean it's part of the contract you signed? What's in the contract you signed?"
