VALEN’S POV
“If he found a way to alter his genetic structure, there has to be some indication in his DNA sequencing,” I told Meredith as I scoured through another report. “Some anomaly. If we find it, we might be able to find out how he did it.”
That would be enough of a clue to at least have a starting point.
I had told Zira I would be checking the perimeter for clues but had decided afterward to assist Meredith with her task while Ezra went with Lucas. I wasn’t nearly as good as Meredith, but after spending so much time with her, I had learned enough to be useful.
At my comment, Meredith looked up from the slide she had been analyzing under a microscope. “So, you believe her then? About her dreams. About how our mysterious patient is this Erik character who isn't just a shifter but the son of an Alpha. The story doesn't sound any less impossible no matter how many times I repeat it, Linus.”
