"Why are you both so awkward now?" Ren asked as she placed some snacks in front of them as she had planned a movie night.

"N-no." Noah answered as she glanced at Lia who was just keeping a poker face.

They were planning to go up to terrace and learn the spell which Noah knows but Ren had other plans. She took off from her work for two days because she wanted to help them with the new place and to take them out. Noah and Lia had no idea why Ren was being so nice to them even when she didn't know either of them so they believed that it was how humans work.

"Is there anything in particular that you want to watch?" She asked turning on netflix.

As much as Noah has learned from Ren, there was a lot more that he needed to get a hold on. He looked through the different shows that were in the home page and pointed at one of it which he found interesting.

"Slam Dunk?" She asked with a small smile because the boy totally looked like the type to watch such stuffs.

"Hmm, isn't it interesting?" He asked in confusion not knowing if he made a wrong choice.

"See for yourself but your friend seems to be not in a mood."

Noah looked to the side couch to see Lia casually zoning out and swaying her legs, looking up at the ceiling. He saw that she was almost finishing her snacks before even the show started as if her only concern was the food. He never really thought what she would be desiring at this point because he has heard about pregnant cravings.

"Lia." He called her to avoid the awkwardness but she was not even responding.

"Maybe, she is thinking about someone whom she is missing." Ren scoffed as she played the video.

Two hours passed by and Lia was totally knocked out with still chips on her face and the emptied bowl on her stomach. Noah was totally into the show that he didn't notice the time passing by. He was cheering every time the main lead won the game and clapped his hands in the excitement.

Ren was taking her sweet time in adoring the boy who was so into the show, he didn't even notice her moving close to him. The small pout never left his lips and his eyes glittering as the light fell on him making her hard to believe that he was alive and breathing.

"Is this over or not?" Lia asked in between her sleep while slamming the snacks bowl on the table.

"Uhh." Noah flinched and looked at Lia who was still sleeping without any clue and it was like a second hand embarrassment for him.

"She is sleeping." Ren said as she moved close to Noah to not lose the mood.

"I guess, I should take her to bed now and we can continue this later." He said getting up and limping his way to her.

"Are you sleeping with her even tonight? If so, you can tell me and go instead of sneaking out like a thief after I am asleep."

Those words were enough to make him feel guilty and cringe all together and he wanted to bang his head on the wall instead of answering to her. What was he supposed to tell her?

"No, it was because Lia would be scared to sleep alone. This is a new place after all and she has no idea about anything that is happening here so as the only person who knows her, I ought to be a help." He said through pressed lips but his gaze was on the floor.

"You could have just said." Ren breathed out as she proceeded to turn off the screen and take away the snack bowls.

"I am sorry, you were sleeping and I didn't want to wake you up." He said before scooping her from the couch and walking to the room.

He locked the door behind as he proceeded to talk to Ren and make her understand the situation because he needed her help for long. Ren was making her bed while listening to some old jazz music which took him by surprise. He didn't imagine her to be that and quiet so it means, he has a lot to know about her.

"Hmm, what is it?" Ren asked as she noticed the boy standing by the door leaning his body to the frame.

"I know what I did is wrong and it was kind of insulting you but I hope you understand. I didn't really mean to do that, I just went to check on her and she was crying so I had to stay there." He kept explaining to her the situation.

"You don't have to explain yourself. You are my guest and she came along with you so obviously what you did is understandable."

"You sure? Then why did you lock us in here and leave without telling?" He asked because at least the next day, he wanted to get out.

"You guys were sleeping so well so I didn't feel like waking you up and then I can't leave the door open." She chuckled dryly as if she was trying to tell him everything was fine.

"Hmm." He hummed as he turned to leave.

"You are sleeping there?" Ren asked watching him leave.

"I will sleep on the couch. I don't think it is right to sleep with anyone."

He closed the door behind and made his way to the couch for the sleep which he possibly wouldn't get for the rest of the nights. It was harder than he thought to convince both of them to get to a near end.
