Hunter Pride

Jarvis walked into his guild with Lucy. He patted her head and looked at her.

"Lucy, I need you to go to miter silverman he graciously decided to help you in your schooling"

"Awe but that's boring…I like learning hunter things that you do!"

"Little one, learning all that boring stuff is also very helpful to being a hunter trust me I was in school for this too!"

"But I don't go to a school…you said they were busy making sure I had "papers". What does that mean?"

"Uh…they're just making sure you can go to their school!"

'Nice save there…can't let her find out she isn't on any records yet'

"Blaahh fine ill head to him mister."

As Lucy walked off to a different part of the guild, Jarvis ran his hand through his graying hair.

"Darn raising a kid is harder than I thought…well then time to finally meet with him."

Jarvis walked around his guild before heading to his office. His guild was located in the middle of town, built inside an old bar though through many renovations they turned it into a functioning guild hall (the bar was kept through popular demand from the members).

His office wasn't overly furnished with just a desk, a few chairs, and a couple of books shelves with very little to hold. They're sitting in the seat across from the desk was a man with a purple scarf around his neck despite the summer, dressed in a suit, with a red undershirt, black and white shoes, small rimmed glasses, and messy black hair.

"I see you came early Professor Ozer", Jarvis plopped down in the other seat, facing the professor.

"Well, mister Jarvis you brought me an interesting case here. It would be highly rude of me not to show up on time. Now let's talk about your little one."

"Lucy is my child…I find it odd that you would seek me out, a professor from a prestigious school, out of curiosity."

"Why of course I had no reason to come down here at all, however from what you've told me of her from your own accord…she's an interesting case. Someone like her could be the first case of multiple ignitions or something on a greater scale."

"Ignitions… it's always those with you Ozer…", Jarvis shook his head and tightened his hand.

"A hunter should know about them, Mister Jarvis! Ignitions are the embodiment of persons will! They always appear right after a pivotal moment in someone's life Jarvis, it's like a flame ignited within them and your little one may have multiple!"

"All I've told you is that Lucy has a strange aura like appendages coming from her back. I have worked with Igniters before Professor Ozer, and whenever Lucy uses her abilities, I don't sense anything that feels like an ignition, plus the headaches she gets right after use is not normal for an igniter."

"I want to enroll your child into my school".

Jarvis stood up in shock.

"What did you say?"

"I will take in Lucy Reaper as a student in my school. I will handle all the necessary paperwork; you just have to wait a couple of years Jarvis."

"There's a catch here isn't there Professor? Why else would you want my daughter? Is it so you can research her abilities?"

"Precisely-

"She is not an experiment professor."

"I understand that Jarvis. You did not let me finish. I want to help her develop her skills with her abilities. I want to research why her powers cause her such terrible headaches and what else she could possibly do. I also want a sensing ignitor to see if it is really an ignition. All this just for her to stay in my highly esteemed school and for free. I just want to research her. She might be the next step in human evolution."

"Tch…ill need time to think it over…and talk to my daughter about this. We still have out pride."

"Take your time, though I'm sure you'll say yes."

The professor stood up and walked out of the office nodding at Jarvis before closing the door.

Jarvis sighed, "What have I gotten myself into"

Camilo paced around his office. It had been six years since they were supposed to kill all the reapers and so far, only one has been found and killed.

Camilo sipped his tea.

'This is taking longer than expected than I thought. Doesn't matter, in time the plan will come to fruition. Incompetent ruler…- '

His thoughts were interrupted when he heard a knock on his door.

He sighed, setting his cup of tea down.

"Come in"

A tall man with a lean build walked in, with blondish hair, dressed in the group's white cloak.

"Faos what is it?"

"Camilo I've grown bored of waiting. I'm going out to hunt the reapers. My heart seeker should find them"

Camilo raised his brow, curious on what he could do with this outburst. Camilo's mouth twitched.

"Go ahead and do what you feel like. It won't be on any records. Keep your pride with you."

"My pride? What about yours? You've done nothing about it for six years "leader"."

"I've been bidding my time for something else Faos. A miniscule group of unnecessary creatures won't do us any harm. Its just the fool being paranoid."

"You underestimate the king and those unnecessary creatures you ignore. It will bite you back one day"

"Dear Faos you wouldn't understand. I have my own agenda and if you get in my way, I will end you"

Camilo with a smile on his face sipped his tea.

Faos sneered at him, "Fine…" he stretched, "I'll be responsible for my actions then. I just want some action that's challenging."

Camilo swept his hair back.

"Go ahead."

As Faos left to open a tear to head to the earthly realm Camilo stared at himself in the mirror.

Chuckling to himself he rubbed his chin.

"It seems to be going well."
