Believe Me.

"What the hell are you doing here? Haven't I warned you not to come near her again? Haven't I?" Lucky demanded, his grip tightening around Ziyad's neck as he confronted him.

Coughing for effect, Abi pretended to be choking, drawing Lucky's attention. Reacting instinctively, Lucky pushed Ziyad away and rushed to Abi's side, concern etched on his face as he checked on her well-being.

"Are you alright? Are you hurt?" Lucky asked with genuine concern, carefully examining Abi's body for any injuries. His heart sank as he noticed deep scratches on her arm, evidence of the struggle.

"He gave me a tear. I didn't even know him. He just barged in and started rough handling me. He choked me and said all sorts of bad words. I'm really scared, Lucky. I'm scared," Abi lied convincingly, her eyes brimming with tears as she looked up at him.

"It's a lie. I didn't do that. I wasn't the one who gave her that scratch. She did it herself. Please believe m-" Ziyad's plea was cut off as Lucky shot him a stern glare, silencing him.

"Shut the fuck up! I don't want to hear anything from you again! I won't let you repeat what you did years ago! I won't let that happen again!" Lucky's voice thundered, each word laden with rage and pain.

"It wasn't me! It was her! She's lying to you, Lucky! Can't you see? I didn't do anything! It wasn't me who killed our parents! I wasn't the one-" Ziyad's desperate plea was abruptly silenced by Lucky's fierce interruption.

"I don't want to hear anything from you again! I. DON'T. WANT. TO. HEAR. ANYTHING. FROM. YOU! YOU THIS MURDERER" Lucky's accusation reverberated through the room, shattering Ziyad's heart into a million pieces.

"I'm not a murderer, Lucky," Ziyad's voice was barely above a whisper, but his plea echoed with desperation.

"Please listen to me for once, please-" he attempted to continue, only to be abruptly silenced by Lucky's fierce slap.

"As of today, don't ever show me your face again. If I see you even once, I won't hesitate to kill you. This is my final warning, Ziyad," Lucky's words cut through the air with a chilling finality.

"But I didn't do anything, I wasn't the one. Why won't you believe me?" Ziyad's voice trembled with anguish as tears streamed down his face.

"Now get the fuck out, GET OUT!" Lucky's voice thundered, pointing forcefully at the door, while Abigail watched with a smirk, silently reveling in the chaos she had sown.

'They're both foolish,' she mused to herself, amused by the spectacle unfolding before her.

"I'm sorry for coming late. Let's go to the hospital," Lucky apologized, walking over to Abigail with a neat towel to wrap around her injured hand.

As Ziyad walked out, his head hung low, tears streamed down his cheeks uncontrollably. It was a rare sight, for he had never shed a tear, not even when he lost his parents. But the weight of betrayal and accusation from someone he once trusted was too much to bear.

Looking back at Lucky's house, his heart heavy with pain, Ziyad couldn't hold back the flood of emotions. With a heavy heart, he disappeared into thin air, consumed by his sorrow.

Hours later...

Zhian ventured into a dark and eerie area, the moon casting its dim light upon the desolate landscape. The villagers had warned him of a creature that prowled these nocturnal realms, preying on unsuspecting souls.

With a sense of purpose, Zhian sought to uncover the truth behind these tales of terror, determined to confront whatever malevolent force lurked in the shadows.

For nearly an hour, Zhian struggled to maintain his focus amidst the incessant sound of someone weeping. Each tear seemed to echo through the desolate night, pulling at his senses and diverting his attention from his original purpose.

Driven by curiosity and a sense of compassion, Zhian resolved to seek out the source of the sorrowful cries. Following the haunting melody of despair, he ventured deeper into the darkness, his senses keenly attuned to the slightest sound.

What he discovered was unexpected, for amidst the shadows stood Ziyad, his figure shrouded in grief and anguish. The sight of the once proud and unyielding figure reduced to tears struck a chord within Zhian, stirring a mixture of sympathy and intrigue.
