A week later...
(At the Earth kingdom)
"Father! Mother! You're finally back!" Gabriel shouted as he ran towards the Kung and queen.
"Did you miss us?" Valentina asked.
"Of course I did! You told me that you'd only be gone for a month, but you lied," Gabriel replied.
"We realized that we've been out for too long. We can't just leave you here alone," Antonio said.
The little boy folded his arms. "Why did you tell Ruby to stay if she didn't want to? She's just doing us a favor."
Antonio then kneeled down and told him that they just wanted what was best for him since a lot of people were spreading rumors that he is a illegitimate child.
Gabriel folded his arms. "Who cares about what they think? Didn't you tell me not to show what our weakness is? What will they do if they figure out that I'm your weakness?"
Valentina bursted into laughter. "Antonio, our son is right. I guess we wouldn't have to worry about it anymore."
Gabriel gave his cutest smile. "How about Ruby? Will you still let her stay here?"
The king and queen couldn't resist their son's cuteness, so they decided to let Ruby go.
Gabriel gave them a hug. "I love you both!"
(In Gabriel's room)
"Ruby, I've finally talked to my parents about it. You can go now," Gabriel began.
"Why would they do that? They were even begging me to stay because you were in danger," Ruby responded.
Gabriel then told her that they couldn't keep her in the Earth kingdom forever since she has a family too.
Ruby opened the book. "Gabriel, I know you're just trying to make me feel better, but lying to me won't do anything."
Gabriel frowned. "Ruby, I'm not!"
"I'm really busy today, okay? Can we just talk—"
"He isn't lying," a woman came and interrupted.
"Valentina, your son seems to be telling me that you're giving me a break."
Valentina folded her arms. "It's true, so you may pack your things now and leave if you want to."
Ruby dropped the book that she was holding. "Really?"
"I apologize if I've been rude, I was just worried about Gabriel's safety."
"What about my power? Are you not going to say anything about it?"
"It's-It's not true. We lied to you about it," Valentina said before turning her head towards Gabriel.
"Doing this doesn't mean anything, Valentina. I can't believe that this was all your doing. I did you a favor because I am your friend, but you seem to see me as a servant."
Valentina lifted her head. "Ruby, that's not what I—"
"I studied, Valentina! What do you think of me? I finished high school and college so don't you dare look down on me!" Ruby interrupted.
"I just couldn't think of any other way to let you stay longer."
"You could've just told me the truth! If you were too busy helping King Mateo, then you should've just told me! I would understand!"
Ruby and Valentina have been good friends for a long time, but Valentina still chose to hide the truth. Even though it was a white lie, Ruby got hurt because Valentina looked down on her.
Ruby put her arms on her waist. "What? You're speechless now?"
"I'm sorry, it won't happen again."
Gabriel said, "Ruby, please forgive my mother. She did this because of me. It's all my fault."
Ruby sighed, "Since your son has been obedient lately, I'll accept your apology."
"Really? Thank you!" Valentina hugged her tight.
Ruby laughed. "You're still so childish, like your son."
Valentina said, "I thought that you would end our friendship. You have no idea how nervous I was."
"Well, now you know what happens when I'm upset."
"Thank you, Ruby!" Gabriel gave a big smile.
Ruby chuckled. "Be a good boy while I'm away, okay? I won't be always there to guide you in everything."
Meanwhile...
(At the royal garden)
"We're finally back!" Lucy sighed.
"I've missed this place. We've been away for too long," Josh responded.
"Now that we're back in the Earth kingdom, we have a lot of time together already. Aren't you suppose to be delighted?"
"You haven't been giving me kisses lately."
"Do you want me to give you one now?" Lucy smirked.
"Do you even need to—"
Without letting him finish his sentence, the princess cupped his face, and gently brushed her lips against his. As the wind tossed her hair, the general wrapped his arms around her waist and brought the princess closer to keep her warm. "Is this enough? I'm freezing," Lucy said with her lips close to his.
Josh pecked her lips. "Your kisses are never enough, my love."
