Make It Clear

(At the Fire kingdom)

Adam asked what Timothy was doing in front of the princess's bedroom. Timothy then explained that he was ordered by Julia to bring some things to the princess.

Adam sighed, "You may go. I'll do it."

Timothy dropped the box. "What?"

"Her highness and I are over. We're never going back to the way we used to."

"I'm sure you still have feelings for her."

"That was six years ago."

"Then what about the planned rape?"

Timothy then explained that a few years back, he couldn't accept the fact that Kaycee and him were actually over, so he planned to rape her, but Julia stopped him.

Adam started walking towards the princess's room. "You don't need to explain. You can go."

Timothy blocked his way. "I want to make this clear. You're her fiancé now. I don't want any misunderstandings between you two because of me."

"Then say what you have to say," Adam said.

Timothy looked at the floor. "I'm sorry for thinking that I still have a chance to be with her."

Adam patted his shoulder. "It's fine."

Timothy then told him that he and the princess started dating when they were still young. She was around fourteen, and he was around eighteen. They kept their relationship a secret until one day, he broke her heart because he slept with another woman.

"How did she find out?" Adam asked.

"She saw it with her own eyes," Timothy answered.

"She was only a minor, yet you still decided to have a relationship with her?"

"Love can't be controlled. We were madly in love with each other."

Adam furrowed his eyebrows. "Then?"

"She ended our relationship, but she still didn't fire me. She knew how much I needed the job."

"That's how she is."

Timothy smiled. "I just wanted to tell you that no matter what happens, don't make the same mistake as I did. Treasure her, Adam. She's one of a kind."

"I will, thank you," Adam said.

"Her heart's been shattered once, don't make it shatter again."

A few hours later...

(In the princess's bedroom)

Kaycee asked Adam what was wrong since he was so quiet. Adam then told her that he had a short chat with Timothy about her.

"He told you the same thing didn't he? Timothy and I are over," Kaycee said.

"He told me that you suffered a lot," Adam responded.

The princess sat down. "Like?"

"He didn't tell me the details. He just told me how your relationship ended. Speaking of that, have you done anything inappropriate with him?"

The princess laughed. "We didn't do anything, Adam. I gave you my first kiss."

"You don't need to lie."

Kaycee brought her face closer. "Do I look like I am?"

Adam looked away. "I should head back now."

"Didn't you say that you'd stay till my brothers come back?"

"I change my mind."

Kaycee hugged him. "Don't think of escaping, Adam. You're staying here."

"I'm just—"

Without letting him finish his sentence, the princess gave him a kiss.

"I gave it to you willingly. Happy now?" Kaycee laughed.

"Why did you do that?" Adam asked.

The princess cupped his face. "Are you still thinking about it?"

"No."

Kaycee smirked. "I can make you forget it."

Adam chuckled. "Are you sure about that?"

"I guess so."

Adam brought her closer. "I'm not thinking about it anymore. My heart is at ease now."
