A few days later...
Eleanor looked at the man standing in front of her and asked him what he let her drink. The man then told her that it was a medicine that his father gave a few years back.
Eleanor asked, "Isn't that only a one time use? Why waste it on me?"
The man scratched his head. "I realized that your life's more important."
"Cameron, are you sure that this will work?"
"I'm positive. You won't feel any pain anymore in the future."
Eleanor looked away. "Well-Well, thank you."
"That's it? The medicine isn't free. I need something in exchange." Cameron brought his face closer.
"What do you want then?"
"You know what I want," Cameron replied. "I want the red gem back."
Eleanor took a few steps back. "You said you'd give me time to think about it!"
"I just saved your life. What would you need the red gem for?"
"My parent's revival!"
"How many times do I have to tell you that it isn't possible to revive anyone?"
"I don't believe you."
"Then don't. I'll get the red gem myself," Cameron said.
The princess giggled. "You don't even know where it is!"
"It's under your pillow isn't it?"
"How-How did you know—"
Before she was able to finish her sentence, Cameron instantly got the red gem. On the other hand, Eleanor tried to stop him, but it was too late. The red gem was already in his hands.
"Give it to me!" Eleanor yelled.
Cameron then smiled and raised his arm so that Eleanor couldn't reach the gem. He was a lot taller than her, so even if she tiptoed, she still wouldn't be able to get it.
Eleanor folded her arms. "You said you were gonna give it to me!"
"I will," Cameron said. "If you can get it."
"Lower your arm."
"Use your head."
As Eleanor tried to reach the gem, Cameron just stood there laughing.
The princess sighed, "I give up, you can have it."
"Oh really?" Cameron asked.
"Its all your—"
Before she was able to continue, Cameron suddenly leaned forward, lifted her chin with his other hand, and kissed her lips. It was on Eleanor's mind to move away, but instead she found her face lifting to his, responding to his kiss. Cameron then claimed her mouth again and again as the princess's legs hit the bed. Until a few moments later, she stared into his eyes and broke the kiss.
"You-You what did you do...?" Eleanor touched her lips.
Cameron winked. "I kissed you. You're so rowdy."
"Is that the only way to make me shut up?"
"Didn't you respond to my kiss? It seems like you were enjoying it."
Eleanor blushed. "I was just—"
"You don't need to explain. I know that my kiss is irresistible." Cameron laughed.
"Whatever. I'm sorry for that. I wasn't myself."
"You should be thankful. We're practicing."
"What for?"
"Remember the deal we made? I was suppose to act close to you when Leo's around."
"Close as friends! Not a couple!"
"You're just—"
Before he was able to continue, Olivia suddenly knocked on the door and told Eleanor that someone wanted to see her.
"I'll be out in a minute," Eleanor responded.
(In the throne room)
The queen asked the man kneeling in front of her what he wanted to do with Eleanor. The man then told her that he just wanted to give the princess some news.
"What kind of news?" Mateo asked.
The man answered, "It's about her friend."
"What about—"
Before he was able to finish his sentence, Eleanor suddenly came in and asked him to tell her everything. The man then smiled and told her that it was a pleasure to meet her. On the other hand, Olivia followed the princess to the throne room, and as soon as she saw the man talking to the princess, her eyes widened.
Olivia rubbed her eyes. "Adam? Is that you?"
Adam replied, "Yes."
"Olivia, you know him?" the princess pointed to Adam.
Olivia answered, "He's Princess Kaycee's fiancé."
Eleanor looked at Adam. "You must know who I am."
Adam smiled. "I know who you are, Eva."
"It seems that you are well aware of my true identity."
"I didn't come here to humiliate you. I come to give you some news about your old friend."
"I have tons of friends. Who is it?"
"It's Aviana. She's-She's dead..."
"How could that be? Hasn't she been living with Cole?" Eleanor asked.
"He's dead too." Adam looked at the floor.
"Don't tell me that Leah's daughter is..."
"She was killed on the same day."
"That's impossible!" Eleanor shouted as tears started falling from her eyes.
"This can't be," Eleanor said as she fell to her knees.
Olivia patted the princess's shoulder. "Your highness, don't worry. We will make further investigation."
Adam interrupted, "No need, we've already investigated."
"What about it?" Mateo asked.
"The doctor has already performed autopsy on their dead bodies," Adam answered. "It doesn't seem like a murder."
"Then what?" Mia asked.
Adam assumed, "The killer probably used magic."
