A few days later...
"Are you sure about this?" Mark asked.
Lucy winked. "Why not? It's similar to how Josh and I first met."
"They are still children."
"Trust me. They—"
Before she was able to continue, a servant came and informed Lucy that Abigail has arrived. The princess then went to the royal hall to greet her.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, princess Lucy." Abigail bowed.
"It's a pleasure to meet you too. You must be Abigail right?" the princess said.
"It is me."
"Shall we head to Gabriel's room then?"
"Yes."
(In Gabriel's room)
"I'll leave you two alone now!" Lucy said as she closed the door which left Gabriel and Abigail alone.
Gabriel then asked Abigail why she came to the Earth kingdom.
"Your aunt invited—"
Before she could finish her sentence, she noticed that Gabriel seemed to be irritated by her so she told Gabriel that she decided to leave so that he can have some rest.
Gabriel grabbed her wrist. "Wait! Since you're here, why not spend time with me?"
"Only the two of us?"
"Who else? No one likes playing childish games like we do."
"Do you feel shy towards me?" Abigail said as she sat on the bed.
Gabriel looked away. "A little."
"Then we shall change that!"
"I don't want to." Gabriel looked at her. "Abigail, I actually like you."
"Gabriel, what are you saying? Look, we're only eight. I don't think that—"
"I'm sure that I like you."
Abigail's face then reddened and she was left speechless.
"What's wrong?" Gabriel asked.
"Look, I really appreciate your feelings, but I have someone that I like too."
"Is this a rejection? Who is this boy that you like?"
"Why should I tell you?"
"I'm your friend! Shouldn't I have the right to know?"
Abigail folded her arms. "Aren't you going to be jealous?"
Gabriel answered, "Why would I? It doesn't mean that I don't have a chance against him."
Abigail looked away. "It's you."
Gabriel titled his head. "What?"
"I said it's you," Abigail repeated. "Don't stare at me.
"You seem to be—"
"I said I like Gabriel, the son of King Antonio and Queen Valentina."
"Would you wait till the day I can pursue you?"
"Why not? It's a promise. We'll do a pinky swear."
"I want something unique."
Abigail asked, "Like what?"
"This," Gabriel said as he held her hand and kissed her knuckles.
"What-What did you just do? Why did you kiss my hand?"
"It's something that I call unique."
"You're unbelievable."
"You promised to wait for me. You're forbidden to break it."
Abigail chuckled. "I'll only wait for 10 years."
