Going Back

The next day...

(At the Fire kingdom)

Timothy informed that princess that Julia was nowhere to be found. Kaycee then raised her voice and asked him if he already searched the whole castle.

"Instead of yelling at him, why don't we go help them?" Adam interrupted.

"You may leave," Kaycee said.

When Timothy left the room, Adam told the princess that she was in no position to yell at him. Even though he was only a servant, he deserves to be treated with respect.

Kaycee folded her arms. "Can't you see that I'm panicking?"

"Then go help them. We can't just stay here and wait."

A few hours later...

(At Julia's room)

"Adam, look! I found something!" Kaycee shouted.

"Let me see," Adam responded.

The princess showed him a note. "She must be..."

"I guess it's time for her to go back to where she belongs."

"How about mother? Isn't Julia the only one who can communicate with her?"

"It says that she's never coming back, so I guess we could assume that she's gone too..."

The princess threw the note onto the floor. "Why did she leave without saying anything?"

"They both don't belong on earth. They just came here to help, but looks like there work here is finished."

Kaycee then explained that Julia played a big role in her life and that she wasn't able to show her how grateful she was.

Adam sighed, "Well, why didn't you?"

Tears started falling from Kaycee's eyes. "I guess I was too childish back then. I've been accusing her for the past month, yet she still forgave me. I might've said hurtful words in the past, but I really didn't mean it. I just lost control of my emotions."

Adam pulled her into a hug. "You don't need to explain. It's not your fault."

Kaycee then told him that I'd leaving the Fire kingdom makes her happy, then she couldn't do anything about it. She might not get to see her again, but it doesn't mean that she'll forget her. Even though she kept yelling at her, Julia was able to withstand her rough attitude. It was quite obvious that she wanted to give up, but in the end, Julia still didn't quit.

Adam sat down. "Your mother must've been really proud of you then."

Kaycee replied, "At least I now know that people—"

"Your highness, we've found something at the garden," a servant came and informed.

(At the royal garden)

"I'm sure that this means a lot to you," Timothy began.

"Where is it?" Kaycee asked.

Timothy brought out a tiny Keychain. "Remember this?"

As soon as the princess held the keychain, she started sobbing. She felt like there were a thousand knives being stabbed into her heart. There was just this memory that she couldn't forget. She recalled those times where she would play and talk with her mother. Her mother didn't treat her like she wasn't her own child because she was different. Her mother loved her for the way she was. She didn't compare the princess to anyone for it would hurt her feelings. Until one day, in a blink of an eye, she was gone.

"Where did you get this?" Kaycee asked.

Timothy answered, "I guess Julia must've dropped it while she was on her way out."

"She must've did this on purpose."

"Your highness, It brings back the memories of you and your mother."

Kaycee looked at the bright blue sky. "Julia really never fails to surprise us."
