CHAPTER 27

Adela's Point of View:

"Fine, I'm jealous, but so what?!" I quickly uttered, and up until now, I'm still analyzing what I just said.

I covered my mouth in embarrassment upon realizing what I had blurted out. Maybe it was the embarrassment that gave me the strength to run away quickly, even though my knees were weak from the rapid beating of my heart earlier. I just need to run away from him. I need to escape the embarrassment I caused! Why did my mouth betray me like that? It's incredibly annoying, damn it!

Once I was far away from him, I didn't hesitate to exit the university. I needed to get away from there.

I ran towards a tricycle stop nearby and quickly hailed one.

"Is The Mall nearby?" I asked the driver.

"Yes, Ma'am. Is that where we're heading?" he asked, and I nodded quickly.
