Chapter 2

Gianna's pov

PAST

5! I ran through the hallway going as fast as I could 4!

"Would you stop counting?"I said to Nate in frustration. We were talking on the phone and I couldn't wait to see him. Vacation does that to you. I'm pretty sure any student seeing me right now would think I'm crazy. I was running through the hallway holding a phone next to my ear and smiling sheepishly.

"Not until you get here"he laughed"3!"

"Ugggh"I groaned climbing the stairs, I would have been there already if not for Maria.

"2!"

How much longer before I get there? I asked myself and this shoes are so fucking uncomfortable

"1!" Bang! I opened the door "you're late" he replied

"No I'm not I opened the door immediately you said 1 '' I said walking up to him not forgetting to close the door since we did not want anybody to know about our relationship.

"You give the same excuse all the time Gianna" he held my hand pulling me closer

"Shut up"I said, kissing him. I missed this so much. The summer holiday we were supposed to spend together was destroyed when our families suddenly decided to go on vacation. We pulled away catching our breaths

"How was Miami?" I asked. Right now his hands were around my waist while he rested half way on the table behind him.

"Miami was Miami"

I giggled so like a Nate reply "Tell me something better"

"Hmmm"He thought for a while "It was ok but empty without you so I didn't enjoy this trip".

"Well I enjoyed my trip and I even made new friends"

"Friends?"

"Yep! You know it's been long I went to Korea so I obviously didn't know anything there anymore and I wanted to eat so much and attend a few signmeet events but my Korean isn't that good you know"

He nodded

"Then I found out my grandma's neighbor has a grandson that came to visit so I made friends with him

and..."

"Him? A guy?" He said standing up

"He has a girlfriend"

"Oh ok go on" He returned back to his position

I laughed telling him more. You see Nate gets easily jealous even if it's unnecessary so I was used to it even if sometimes I still feel like killing him.

"Ok guys I gave you enough time so come down from the table it's for eating and maybe a few other things and no more kissing!" Alec said walking into the club room

"Yes dad" we both replied stepping away from each other

"Look at these children" he scoffed "Dad? Who's dad? Huh is that what you learnt during your summer vacation?"

"Nope but Dad you should have been there with me " I said sitting down around the table

"Dude tell your girlfriend to stop calling me dad. It sounds like something out of a homemade porn video" Alec said to Nate as both of them sat down.

Alec is Nate's best friend even if they never admitted it at first but it was a known fact by everybody in school and I'm out town. They were like brothers. If Alex was in trouble or needed assistance in any way, the first person he would call is Nate and the same goes for Nate also.

They've known each other since forever and keep going to the same school although they both claim that one of them is stalking the other. Crazy right?

"Gianna, did you bring the drinks?" Alec asked

"Yes" I replied bringing them out " Since I couldn't bring Korean foods I brought a few drinks and some local snacks"

"Oh wow!" Both Nate and Alec exclaimed, clapping.

We were currently in our club room. The name of this club was Treasure Hunt but the only thing we actually do here is eat because like Alec said 'If seashells are seen as treasures, we will eat what is in them and keep the shells then whenever you see the shells you will always remember and say 'oh how delicious it was when I ate it'. So, why not join them? Although Maria was against it but who cares I'm a foodie at heart.

"You?"Alec asked Nate

"We've all been to Miami so I brought nothing" Nate shrugged.

"I can't even get annoyed at you because it's true" Alec replied.

I giggled as Alec brought out a few things he got from South Africa.

"Remind me why you went to South Africa again?"Nate asked while we ate.

"Because I was tired of being the third wheel between some bastard and his girlfriend" Alec replied nonchalantly.

"Is that bastard hot?"I asked

"Of course" Nate replied, kissing my cheek. He smirked at Alec.

Alec looked at both of us like we had a few screw lose"God help this insanity" he rolled his eyes while we laugh.

While cleaning the table and throwing away empty cans Alec suddenly says "We need a new member"

"What?" Both me and Nate asked surprised

"Why are both of you surprised? I mean I am the president of this club and I can decide what I want or can't I?"

"And we are the members of this club you can't decide without us!" Nate fired back.

"Democracy huh?" Alec laughed "Calm down man" he said to Nate "both of you I mean" he said pointing at me "I'm not the bad guy here the bad guy is..." He paused looking at me

"Me?"I asked confused, "I'm the bad guy?"

"No hell no"he chuckled "There's no way you're the bad guy"

"Then who?"I asked

"You see" Alec said "We need four members for the club to hold right?"

"Yes" Nate replied "That's why Alex name is on the list of members"

"Exactly! Lately Alex and Maria keep getting into fights more than usual and my brother is about to lose his shit. So I decided to find out what's happening" He paused looking at me "Are you sure you wanna hear this?"

"Yeah"I replied nodding my head

"Maria wants Alex to leave the club so the club could disband and she could have Gianna back to herself" he said as both of them paused looking at me.

"No way" I shaked my head

"Gianna..."Nate whispered holding me

"I mean I spend almost all my time when I'm not with her, why would she?" I said looking down

"Apparently it's not enough although I suspect it has more to do with the fact that Nate is a member of this club and we all know Maria hates him. So it's either you guys give each other some space" he said pointing to me and Nate "or we get a new member"

"Some space?" Nate asked"we just came back from break"

Alec shrugged.

I pulled away from from Nate saying "I'm gonna return back to class"

"Are you sure? Do you want me to hold you or something?" Nate asked

I laughed "No Nate this isn't that serious"

He stared at me for sometime before saying "if you say so"

"See ya"I replied, kissing him goodbye. I closed the door behind me taking a deep breath after I left the clubroom. I could still hear Alec asking Nate "You think she's gonna be ok?"

"Probably"he replied "she always has a way to deal with Maria"

I walked away quietly as their voices became faint and soon I was unable to hear anything because of the students in the hallway. I walked quietly looking at my socks and shoes. I opened the classroom door to see Maria sitting on Alex's legs as they laughed talking about good knows what. I bit my lips holding back what I wanted to ask her. She stood walking up to me when she saw me

"Oh you are here!" She said with a grin on her face "Alex said he's gonna take us out tonight. You going right?"

I smiled looking at her "I see you wanna make me the third wheel again"

"Third wheel?"she laughed "No way you're my best friend. There is no way you are ever going to be a third wheel to me"

Right."Yeah I know but think Maria" I said holding her hands "We just came back from the break and I know Alex is dying to be alone with you" I looked at Alex and he smiled "see!" I said pointing to him

"Come on go have a good time, both of you ok?

And no fighting I mean it Maria"

"Ok"she said, hugging me . I smiled returning back to my seat. I really can't bear all this PDA. I loved Maria but sometimes she can be annoying. I don't even get why she hates Nate on a personal level. I only know her family and his have been at each other's necks for generations. Sometimes, I wonder what it'll be like if we all just get along and I could date Nate openly.
