The workshop trip to Upenina which was planned for last week had to be postponed to today. A busy Monday for all the first graders of the Metropol High School. Especially for Petra, as a member of an intra-school organization that took part in the workshop trip, he was busier than the other students in his class.
The workshop is one of the mandatory tasks in the subject of New World History. The city of Upenina is also known as the historical city of Mestonia. Apart from being known by the name of the hilly district in the form of both real and artificial hills, Upenina is also known as the city of statues. Early history, the origin of Mestonia is in the city.
In this workshop, it is not only the Social class that is obliged to participate but also the Science class. Without exception. And no one should be absent. To create patriotism and patriotism towards the Mestonia Sovereign State for the first graders of the Metropol Senior High School.
The history of Mestonia itself originated from an understanding that the consequences of the fifth world war were felt by the members of the World Peace Council to be very bad for the stability of the planet Earth itself. Then the secretary of the World Peace Council took the initiative to establish a pilot country, hereinafter referred to as the world commonwealth country.
Until a long, convoluted process that took quite a long time, more than five years the formation of a new Commonwealth country on one of the nameless independent islands in the Pacific Ocean. November 5 is celebrated as the birthday of the State of Mestonia.
One hundred and fifty-first graders left for Upenina city in four buses. The journey itself took more than two hours. Most of the route it takes is through downtown Dustena, the industrial district of Mestonia. The neighboring district of Metropol.
This time Petra feels very lucky because he will not meet Steven or Lyon. Today Petra is free with classmates. The day Petra had hoped for was always there. An uninterrupted day. Days are only for him to study and socialize with school students as appropriate. Because for Petra, these two creatures did not come from the dimension where Petra lived.
"Looks like you are very happy not to see me, today?" Lyon said from across the phone.
"Don't you already know the answer, why bother asking ... at least I can study in peace today." snorted Petra unhappily.
Before getting on the bus, Petra was very happy because all the bullies weren't on the same bus as him. However, Petra's excitement suddenly vanished when she found out who the person was calling. Petra picked it up after seventeen missed calls.
"Okay. I'm sorry this time. I just wanted to make sure your new phone was working properly." said Lyon then hung up the phone without waiting for Petra's answer.
"Basic. Too confident." Petra grumbled, stuffing the cellphone deep into the backpack. Petra swore that she wouldn't use that cell phone today.
The bright smile that had graced Petra's face slowly faded due to Lyon's poor quality phone calls. Petra felt bad as if he had received a bad omen. Like ... when in Upenina that young man who did not know himself suddenly appeared in front of him. Like what happened in the past.
"You seem very happy, Petra?" asked his seatmate. Hime, a girl of mixed Japanese - Jamaican descent.
"Ah, that's not it. He's that ... just like that." Petra replied, unable to continue because she couldn't tell the truth to anyone else.
"Then what's the story about you conquering Lyon, our High School's number one playboy?" asked his seatmate again curiously.
Hearing questions like that of course made Petra confused himself. That the news that he and Lyon had been dating, spread throughout the school by word of mouth in just a short time. It's not that Petra never received threats or insinuations from other girls who were jealous or angry with him, it's just that Petra never took him seriously. This time, in front of her classmates, Petra is helpless.
However, this time was different. Petra was asked a question that was very commonplace by her classmates. Being asked personally like that left Petra speechless. Just to say a lie is too heavy.
Inwardly Petra said if only they had known what happened about a relationship that was nothing more than master and slave. Yes, now Petra feels like Lyon's slave. A servant slave who requires himself to be versatile.
"Complicated story," Petra replied briefly, smiling at the friend beside him. Hoping there weren't any more serious queer questions than that. Petra suddenly feels very tired when it comes to Lyon.
"Thank God then. At least he fell to the right girl like you, Petra. Now Lyon looks more radiant than ever. What is his name ... oh yeah, like an angel who has found his true self." joked sitting friend Petra laughing cheerfully, making his eyes invisible. Hime Jiodo.
"Your parable is nonsense," said Petra, laughing cheerfully.
This is the first time Petra has heard firsthand what other people think about his closeness to Lyon, the young master who causes trouble in Petra's life.
It doesn't feel like the journey to Upenina ends at a relic observation park run by the local city government. Arca Mestonia National Park, and commonly referred to as TNAM.
An open garden with an area of about 1000 square meters, filled with various types and sizes of stone statues that are not from Mestonia. Imported relics from various countries in the world have their meanings.
These statues are scattered throughout the parking area. No less than 300 statues of various shapes and sizes with certain themes in each group.
When entering the territory of the group of mystical statues, Petra looked at literature beside one of the statues of human silhouettes with fire and air. However, unfortunately, the literature was written in a foreign language which Petra did not know which language. Like ancient Egyptian writing but differing in the curvature of the letters.
"This is Sanskrit which means something like this, be careful with your heart because it can be like fire with air that one day will harm you if not controlled wisely." explained the park ranger to Petra's party.
"Do all statues contain advice like this, uncle?" Petra asked curiously. He is not content to hear just one story.
"Of course not, miss. These statues are the values that Mestonia has had since its inception until now it is still relevant." explained the park ranger.
"I see," said Petra understandably.
There were so many forms of statues that amazed Petra, that he was separated from the group without realizing it. When Petra realized this, Petra found himself in a strange circulation room.
"Petra, is that you?" asked a voice from across the circulation room.
Hearing his name called Petra trying to find the origin of the sound. How surprised Petra was when he found out who the young man was.
Ken.
