CHAPTER 8: Official meeting (ii)

kelly looked at him accusingly so he couldn't help but ask. "why are you looking at me that way, don't you have anything you wanna say?"

she sighed before answering. "why did you interfere? I really wanted to teach her a lesson but you just came out of nowhere. but thank you, I know you were just trying to help." she said lazily while looking away

Joseph was speechless, he just stared at her as she spoke. "and besides why do you guys keep dragging me around first it was that annoying boy now it's you, but wait you look kind of familiar." she said while leaning towards him and squinting her eyes as she thought hard.

"she doesn't look like an introvert to me, she's just too sassy." he thought, when he heard what she said, he wanted to reply but she figured it herself. " oh! now I remember you're that pervert from before."

when he heard what she said it felt like a bucket of water had been poured over his head, infact he got really angry at what she said. "what do you mean by pervert, I don't think I've done anything to you that made you think that." he said coldly while glaring at her.

that was when kelly realized what she had just said. " ah..I'm sorry I didn't know why I said that out loud." but she still got a glare from Joseph then she got flustered without realizing it and she tried to defend herself while looking away " maybe I was wrong to think that way but you were also wrong, who stands outside a place while watching someone, if I remember clearly you stood outside my class for like ten minutes."

"so how does that make me a pervert?" he asked while raising a brow. " and besides I did that because even though you decided to stay away from people you had this sad and lonely look in your eyes." he said while staring outside with his hands in his pocket.

kelly was startled by what he said , she knew what he said was right but she never admitted to it m , because if she did she wouldn't have the strength to refuse the advances of other, but now this stranger just laid it out in front of her. she didn't know what to say and she just stared at him.

when Joseph noticed how shocked she was he couldn't help but want to pat her head and he did, but kelly slapped his hand away and said coldly. "I don't need your pity." then she walked away .

Joseph ran after her and stopped her from leaving he leaned towards her so they could look at each other face to face as he was taller than her. " first of all I don't think people like you need to be pitied It only makes things worse, secondly why would you walk away from your benefactor that way. he said while pulling her to the cafeteria.

"what do you mean by that I never asked you to help me why do I need to repay you." she asked with eyes widely open. then Joseph replied to her with a smirk on his face

"you have to because I said so." he said while turning around to give her a smile. Kelly's heart skipped a beat and she didn't refuse anymore she just allowed him to pull her. he was happy she was back to normal, he didn't know that what he said would change her mood but he managed to divert her attention.
