Unfaithful

Alex squeezed his face in disappointment, he never knew that the hardest fight to fight is fighting with a beautiful woman.

He can’t seem to bring himself to fully get angry at her.

So exhausted, Alex sat on the sofa and rest his head on it.

Evelyn walked to him and took his hand, he squeezed her tiny hand in his larger one, and Evelyn was surprised at him.

“He’s not angry at me” she muttered smiling that he still loves her.

“Please Evelyn, save me from this,” he said still resting his head on the sofa while squeezing her hand.

"I will withdraw the case from my lawyer, but I know nothing about the council.” Alex pulled himself up to face her.

“Please, you have to tell them is not true,” she nods searching his eyes with hers, their eyes locked and Alex was tempted to kiss her.

“You know you are silly, how did you come up with that nonsense?” Alex asked Evelyn as they both lie down kissing and smooching each other.

“I don’t know, I guess I was just angry that I’m losing you, I can’t afford to lose you”

Alex said nothing, he didn’t want to promise her anything, he has find out that he cannot keep his promises to women.

After he finished with Evelyn he went home to his wife.

“How was your day?”  she took off his suit and pulled him to the dinner table.

He was not happy about how things are going, it seems he can not be faithful to his wife, he wanted to but not under this circumstance.

Evelyn won’t let go of him, if he keeps proving stubborn then he will get into trouble, he just has to play along.

“You are not happy,” Sandra tells him rather than ask.

“I’m fine, how are you? And where is Lilian?”

"She’s fine, she's working out her homework”

“Oh…I will like to see her” Alex was running away, he can’t stand Sandra anymore, he has cheated on her over and over again.

He keeps beating himself, Alex went to his daughter’s room and stayed there, helping her out with her homework.

"Dad” Lilian called.

“Yes, my sweetheart”

“Am I a monster?” she asked Alex and he almost jumped out of his skin.

“Who told you that?”

“They are calling me a monster in school, what is a monster anyways?”

“Come here” Alex carried her and hurried back to Sandra.

"We need to change her school right away, or wait, we can home school her, or wait, we can call private teachers”

“Calm down, Alex, what is going on?”

“Did she tell you they are calling her a monster in school?” Alex asked Sandra but she was hearing it for the first time, Lilian never told her mother about that.

Maybe because she always scolds her for talking to the rats, and making fire come out of her hands.

“What did you do? I’ve always told you to stop doing those magic!” Sandra yelled at Lilian and she starts to cry.
