The party

"Jack you can tell me what you want later, but for now, we have to celebrate first,” Alex told Jack who is in a hurry to secure a position in the company, he has been waiting for this day, and here it has finally come.

Like a dream, he will be working in a big company and friends with the CEO, he was so excited, that he is going to have enough money to marry Clara, and he can’t wait to tell her the good news.

“That is a good one,” Clara told Jack, but she was not that excited.

“Why are you not happy?”

“Alex can’t kick me out like that, he should have told me about going to the company today, he thinks because I’m a woman he can just kick me off like that?”

“Hey. Calm down, is not like that, I think he has his reason for not telling you” Jack pulled her closer and comfort her.

“I hope you are not supporting him this time,” she asks Jack.

“Not at all, but I think he has his reasons but not to worry, I will talk to him huh, come let me make you relax” he took her in, of course, he knows how to make her calm down and listen to him.

“Thanks for calming her down,” Alex said when Jack told him about Clara.

"I wasn’t thinking that way you know, I thought I do tell her about it later”

“Is okay, she’s fine”

“Thank you, I know you are the man for her, I don’t want to start a fight with Clara over this, just let her know I meant well” Alex pleaded with Jack.

The party was held at Alex's place and he invited his friends and some of the company staff came but not all.

“Keep an eye on him, I want Alex alive” Evelyn commanded her hired men.

“Yes ma'am”

“Hey, congratulations” a group of staff came shaking Alex's hand, they were smiling so brightly and Alex was so happy for today.

Zack on the other hand was searching for Pat, “Why is she not here? I hope she’s coming to this party?” he start to search for her but she was nowhere to be seen.

"Okay I hope she’s not with that Don!” he muttered and sip his wine, he has never wanted someone so much in his life, what is this girl doing to him?

“Should I go to her house? No, everyone is coming here, she should be here” he keeps worrying about her.

Zack didn’t notice the three men that just walk past him into the party hall.

“I think that’s him,” the first guy said pointing at Alex.

“So what now?” the second one asks,

“We are to take him out of here without causing a scene."

“So do you have any idea how we can do that?”

"Wait a minute” the first guy said and took two glasses of wine from the servant passing by and walked straight to Alex.

“Congratulations” he hand him one glass and Alex took it smiling.
