“Fine, she can help” Brian agreed and they both went back inside.

“I’m cool with everything if only Alex will keep to his promise,” Sandra said happily, she will get back all she lost and go back to living a good life.

Only this time, Blaze won’t be there with her.

She’s now Brian's girl and ready to live the rest of her life with him.

“I promise to keep to my words,” Alex said and then went home to Sandra.

It was late when he arrived and Sandra has already gone to bed, not that she was sleeping but she has been crying because Alex left for Brian's place forgetting to tell her where he was going.

“Sandra are you sleeping?” he asks but no answer.

He was about to crawl onto the bed when his phone rang. Is Evelyn, her father has told her that Alex is now the new head of the clan.

She was so excited because it means that Alex will fulfill his promise to her.

He looked at the phone but refused to pick up the call, he knows exactly why she was calling.

“Go ahead, pick up your phone, why are you not picking up your phone?” Sandra ask getting off the bed to face Alex, she was all tears now and Alex was surprised, he thought she was sleeping but didn’t know she was crying silently.

“What happened? Why are you crying?”

"Alex, I’m tired, what did I ever do to you? Why are you treating me this way?” she asks crying and hitting him on his chest.

Alex grab her hand as she was about to hit him again and pulled her to himself, she landed on his chest and he hugged her not giving her another chance to hit him.

“What did I do huh?” he asks still hugging her while she cries on his shoulder.

"You always leave us in this house and go to your other woman."

“Other woman!” he pulls her away from him so he can get a better view of her face.

“Other woman! who told you that?”

“No one” she shakes her head still crying. “ I just know”

“Listen to me sweetheart, there is no other women, ever, you are just getting it all wrong, like now, I was just coming back from Brain’s place, you can call him and ask him, he will tell you the truth.

There’s no woman anywhere, I was just busy but now I think everything will be okay, now that am the head of the clan.”

“I’m scared Alex”

“About what?”

“You, leaving me, you know, now that you got the position you will be very busy and have no time for us”

“That will never happen, I’m not leaving you for anyone”

“ Swore  to me,” Sandra said.

“What! You don’t  trust me again.?”

“Yes, because you can’t even keep your promise to get married to me, when are you going to marry me?”

“How about next week,” Alex ask searching her eyes, he didn’t want to lose her, she’s the only woman he’s at peace with.

“Next week? Is that not too sudden?” Sandra asks wiping her tears, yes she will like it but next week?
